Hey, I've played XII now, and the license system rocks.
Plate + White Magic + Katana = Amazing
Oh, and Ashe is most possibly the best fighter in the game. Balthier takes a close second. And he's kicka**.

VII FTW. The main reason for my liking of this game, is that it's the only FF game besides VIII that has futuristic technology+the modern clothes-the skimpy clothes. All of the other final fantasy games have the same type of neo-primative technology and lack of clothing. True. I still like X...short some of the characters. luna: LOLZ. All games before X are not as good graphic wise and lack voice acting, but they're still great. ^^ I haven't picked up XII in a while, but last I remember, the only thing I liked about it was Balthier. And...nope that's it. And now I'm forcing myself to get through X-2 because I need closure on that game and to get 100% so I can finally burn the accursed thing. Ahem. The leveling up system blows like Free Willy. And the only thing you have to do is press X during fights. A baby could beat the dang thing if you taught it to press X. Oh, and the dialogue sucked, they all dressed like sluts and the annoying Celsius theme...it would never frickin' die. Has anyone else touched this...thing of a game?

I've played it. I liked how you could change jobs. Black Mage and Dark Knight are my faves. Yuna turned into a totally different person in X-2. She was like OOC the whole time!! At least Rikku was still in character. I love the Real Emotion opening and the 1000 Words song in Chapter 4. Absolutely beautiful pieces. And what really made me mad is that I achieved 100% and yet, it wouldn't let me see the Perfect Ending!!

^Just another reason to burn the game.
Changing jobs was actually something I didn't mind, now that you mention it. But overall, the leveling up system was poorly constructed, IMO.

I like FF VII because of the whole statement of companies destroying the earth, pollution and all that jazz. But I also like the X-2 one because of the dress spheres and such. Oh, and Yuna really changed in that one. But I wonder what's on that "Perfect Ending" thingy...

X-2 was the largest waste of 50 bucks in my life. Oh well the dress spheres weren't bad...just the plot. >_<
I'm voting for VIII because it was the game that got me hooked into the series, and the music was fabulous. The VIII OST is the only game soundtrack I own besides Nobou's "The Black Mages" cds. The gameplay wasn't particularly hard and the boss wasn't as developed as say Sephiroth, but Squall and Rinoa's love story and several memorable side characters (Selphie *squee!* or Zell the hotdog boy...). The story was very deep and engaging. Besides the main story there were also many other little story's you find throughout the game, but only if you paid attention and thats what I really liked.

I know what's on the perfect ending, it's just the matter of obtaining 100% so I can have closure and be done with that waste of a game. Hana: Well...yes. The plot sucked. Luckily, I'm pretty lacking in common sense so it took me about four months to figure out the picture on the back of the booklet in X said "Final Fantasy X-2" and that the girl was Yuna. The dressphere idea was unique, but the pace of the battles were *too* fast. You didn't have time to think out a reasonable method, just click X as fast as you can and hope you win. And the Via Infinito...I hate the Via Infinito. That place...makes me angry. Grr. 100 levels...

At least the leveling up system was simple. All you had to do was kill people and you gained levels. XD In FF-X, it took me a while to figure out the sphere grid thing.

Bump! XD
@cc: Well...I liked the sphere grid. I liked being able to have some control over it instead of just putting them on a certain track and praying for good fortune. And it's confusing trying to make sure all the Dresspheres are equally leveled up and who should train on what Dressphere.

Favorite Final Fantasy? Oohh. Toughie.
On the PS, it would have to be IX. I loved the vast array of characters; Vivi and Eiko were so adorable.
X and XII are in a tie for me. I loved X's plot and it's battle system. XII keeps me on my toes wanting more. Larsa is such a stud too. xD;;

Vincent>Cloud. >D My friend lent me VIII, but I never got around to playing it and my brother constantly whined about it being pixely. (wimp.) I'll have to get VII though. I played Dirge of Cerberus and I was lost beyond all compare, but I've done a little more research on VII and I get it now. I still don't like Shelke or Yuffie. And I do not support any shipping of the kind in VII. xD

Vincent is teh smex.
My friend beat Dirge of Cerberus in a day. She had her hand on the controller for over 24 hours, just so she could finish it before going home. XD
I didn't understand Advent Children, so I wanna play VII.
