I was up at 12 am playing Kotor 2 awhile ago. I was on the Harbinger, and everything was going nice, then out of nowhere a sith assassin pops out of no where and makes a hissing sound. I jumped out of my chair and screamed.

I jumped out of my chair and screamed. I vaguely remember that, but it was scary. Another one... In Onimusha Warlords, when I first got access to the Keep and entered the first save room, I went into the back to check to see if there were any items and the ugly, creepy looking caccoon guy that takes me to the underworld place popped out.

The scariest video game moment for me was trying to save all the Mudokons in the first two Odd World games.

Almost any Sonic the Hedgehog game, when you're under water and you're about to run out of air. Those moments seriously almost give me heart attacks... o.o

Ghosthunter, play that one in a dark room by yourself, great fun if you like to get scared. Before I found the cheats the swamp ghosts with the chainsaws used to creep me up, I would here them and make a run for it in that game...lol.
Max Payne, the first one with the levels with the flashbacks in his house and the ones in the dark room and you had to follow a thin red line and all you could here was a baby crying, it really mucked with your mind.
Another game that plays with your mind is The Suffering, the whole game is just freaky and graph when it comes to seeing the guys family's dead bodies and spirits, but it was a very cool game.

I agree and thanks for jogging my memory the Suffering is the game I was trying to think of that game is sick and I mean sick. *shudder*

Resident Evil 4, When the two chainsaw women are chasing you. I nearly had a heart attack. I wasn't expecting it at all.

Almost every moment while playing F.E.A.R. I was scared to death. ;-; Namely one part where you had to jump down into this vent in the floor, while you're crawling through, your screen suddenly turns fuzzy and flashes, then you see this creepy little dead girl crawling at you with phsyco music. Then she dissapears. XD Also when I was young and was watching my cousin play the second Resident Evil game. I couldn't sleep for a few nights. > >; Also a lot of scary moments in Fatal Frame >_< (come on, a game where you have to take pictures of ghosts? you know it's gonna be scary).

RE4= So i meet the chain-saw weilding guy for the first time in my play through. I'm thinking: "Oh crap." and start shooting at it when suddenly, i'm seeing Leon's head getting sawed off. I felt like i was having a heart attack when i saw Leon's headless body fall to the ground near his head.
Oblivon: I'm finishing the Dark Brotherhood quest and i enter the Traitor's room and see mulitated bodies. I'm disturbed, and then my heart beats faster and i gasp when i see a head on the desk staring at me. I didn't know what I was supposed to do, so i ran around the room, passing the head (and lifting it, thinking that it was the quest item) and getting freaker and freaker by the minute. (The pshycotic music that's playing isn't helping me.) That was scary for me.
RE4: Another RE4 freak-out was when i entered a cabin and turned around, only to see a body pinned to the wall with an axe in her face. Chilling...

I used to be scared to death of the Shadow Temple in OoT.
Anyway now, 3 words. FEAR, ladder, Alma.
Scariest part in anything ever.

Trying to fight that armored fish boss in Majora's Mask was scary, hardest boss in the game IMO. I was trying to fight it from the platform for 40 minutes before I gave and jumped in and braved it in the water. Yessss. He was Gyorg, right? When I first played MM, that thing scared me half to death. Not so much on the platform, but when you had to jump into the water. With the fish that he spits out of his mouth to come eat you and all that. o__o

It's not particularly scary, but in God Of War when Kratos has the lovely flashbacks of killing his family.
