Is anyone gonna see this movie? I will just for the heck of it, but I don't like the fact that they made Grendal's mother all pretty and seductive when she was in fact ugly as hell.

I have seen the trailer for this movie, and I think that it looks like a really good movie. I like the way it all looks; it looks cartoonish, but not really...

I plan on seeing it. I had to read Beoulf in Brit.Lit, and the guy in my class made it terrbile, so it'll be fun to see it on screen.

^ for real!? Hmmm, I've been planning to see it cause as outcastprincess said: teacher made it boring. I wanna see it as some adventure like it was probably meant to be. Hoping it's good.

I dont like Grendel's design for the movie.
Hes all, like, giant zombie looking, not the furry green Grendel i always imagine.

I dunno, K. When I picture Grendel, I get an image of a green giant with a single red eye.
And Beowulf certainly looks epic, so even if there's inconsistencies, it'll still look awesome while it's occuring. I may just do as I do with every movie these days: Wait til it's out on DVD.

I see this as yet another movie made for the special effects and not true quality.

I see this as yet another movie made for the special effects and not true quality. I think Angelina Ho-lie's involvement as the naked CGI mother of Grendel is a clear sign of that.

Of course, they have to use a well-known "sexy" actress.

My English teacher's wife is pregnant (or was, at least) and my English teacher wanted to name the baby Beowulf because her due date was the day the movie came out. His wife shot him down, though, because it was a girl.

John Gardner's "Grendel" would have made a better movie than "Beowulf"
