^ Actually the reviews are pretty bad. Last I checked, the User Review was a C+, and it has a 44% on RottonTomatoes.com Also, about the religion issue, look at this: www.youtube.com/watch?v=tKLrneC9NrUIt's so unfair how the athiests are so badly represented and they're being bashed. Yeah i heard the ratings sucked and that women did a horrible job representing atheists she just started bashing the christian church instead of supporting her own opinions, but the fox news anchor seemed to be pro religion so much.

^ I know, it's so biased! They can't cover a controversy in less than 5 minutes! What other stuff do they report? New fashions and worst dressed and crap?! Oh wait, no, they're too busy doing a weather report or showing a stupid sitcom or something.

I have a question. I was on ASN today and someone was talking about how in the final book they had to kill God in order to take control. Is this true? Because over there where was a ton of hateful comments about how the movie should be banned just because it was written by an atheist. Then I looked up the author, because I know this will complete with Narnia in the box office. And it turns out that the author critized C.S. Lewis for his book(s) have false information. Anyways, I want to know, does it invole the killing of God? Because if so, I guess nothing is original. I was thinking of writing a book about God and everything else. I guess I have to read it now if I want to make my book someday even better. *sigh*

^ For the 1,231,354,324th time to explain this, which I don't mind. (I used up most of my typing voice at IMDB where the people over there are crazy.) The "God" killed in Pullman's books is an ancient form of God. Also, he is a false God. He was just a fallen angel pretending to be God. Pullman is mainly criticizing the Catholic Church (a.k.a. the "Authority") in his books. Thanks to the Pullman's quote "I killed God" that's floating everywhere on the net, extreme Christians are taking that seriously thinking Pullman really means he killed "the Christian God" which he didn't. Pullman says that the God who dies in his series is a God of murderers, rapists, Hitler, etc. He's not attacking the Christian God in any way. It's kind of sad being among the minority group in IMDB of Pullman readers, who are Christian, and see Pullman's work mainly as a work of fiction/fantasy while it explains some of his ideas. Me, personally, I just see it as two children's journey of saving kids from bad guys who want to cut off their daemons while exploring different worlds/dimensions. The (spoiler for later in the series-->) "touching the daemon" part is probably the part that can kind of feel a bit uncomfortable but when you think of it as someone touching another's soul, then that's all there is to it. Sort of like, if you're forbidden to hug someone... With that said, I can only say that the movie is toned down from any religious themes. So, any extremist Christian saying that the movie is anti-God is pretty much ignorant because they should be focusing their energy on the books (which aren't anti-Christian though. Oh well). >_>

Thank you, now I do not feel bad. My god in my book I hope to write will be a mixture of all religious gods. If Christians complain at me, I don't care. Plus that would make Christians who see my works as work of fiction want to read it, and atheist would probably want to read it. Now I do not feel bad, hopefully I could write my book in the future or at least a movie of it.

My daemon's name is Sirion, a tiger. ^^
I would NOT object to having a tiger daemon.

I absolutly adored this movie, seriously one of the best fantasy movies i have seen in a while!
I think it would be seriously cool to have a daemon! ^^ Mine would probably be a fox, or thats what my friend was telling me she could see me having.

I finally saw the movie today. I liked Dakota Blue Richards. I liked everyone in the film. The book is way better because it has so much more detail, everything in the movie happens without segue. I don't remember the book well enough to notice all the changes, so I didn't mind that so much. But I didn't feel like anyone should have to have read the books to follow what's going on, even if it is all too fast. That's the nature of movies, though... if they're based on novels, there's no way they can do them justice in terms of story and characterization. I will say if anyone didn't like the job Dakota did playing Lyra, it's just because, like with all the characters and the overall story, there wasn't enough time to properly get to know the character. But given how rushed everything was, I thought it was a thoroughly enjoyable movie. I liked the story and I loved the special effects, epsecially whenever Pan changed, and every time a person died and their daemon disintegrated.
I'll be really disappointed if they don't make both sequels, especially because my estimation of this movie is raised by knowing it's only one third of the whole story. I think each individual movie is only going to be best appreciated as a part of the whole, so... if the story isn't completed... then my estimation of the movie will be lowered. Which won't be the movie's fault by any means....

My daemon's name is Sirion, a tiger. ^^ I would NOT object to having a tiger daemon. Where did you get this from, was it the quiz on the original site? Because I remember taking the quiz from which I learned from an advertisement on a forum or whatever. This was before I realized it was a movie or even a series of books. When I saw the word Daemon, I knew something was going to be up with this. Then I realized that the books was written by an Atheist. (yay Anyways, my daemon is Suidan. It said I was competitive, spontaneous, clever, modest, and inquisitive. So I am matched up with the spider daemon. Suidan is one of the 19,398 spider daemons within the total Daemon population of 938,042. Suidan is a female daemon as human and daemon pairs are typically the opposent sex. p.s. How do you pronounce Suidan.

^When I first read it, I thought "Suidan" would be pronounced like the country Sweden, but I have no idea.
