Well, I'd hope this nation would elect Obama, but if it came down to them sticking with the old-school status quo, I'd rather have McCain in than Hillary. And, apparently, so would a few other people:www.pollingreport.com/wh08gen.htm
Yes, but if you look at those polls many of them are based on less than 1000 Americans which makes it harder for me to trust them. Also, it is obvious the first listed Fox (conservative) poll would be favoring McCain so it is quite interesting to see they were tied. Also, no matter how hard the Republicans try I do not see them getting into the White House. McCain will obviously be the tougest fight against the Democrats but after what the Republican administration did in the last 8 years, it seems unlikely.
I like Obama but his health care plan seems inadequete. Also, he speaks so bold of himself and it seems like he is saying things he cannot do immediately like he claims. I base this off some of his previous debates and mainly the one where Hillary defeated him last yesterday. He says that day he steps into the White House he would work on getting the troops out of Iraq. That seems highly unlikely.
If it came down to that, Obama could run again in 4 to 8 years. Still, a McCain/Obama race would be absolutely great. Check out this article from today's Chicago Tribune:
Yes, I agree it would be quite interesting and for many reasons. Still, Hillary will dominate in delegate-heavy states like Texas and New York and is favored in many other states as well. Also, she is looking good after Thursday's debate. Lastly, California is key in these primaries considering it holds the most delegates and has a wide variety of views but polls show that she still in the lead. Obama is definently going to need a lot of votes from the youth in California. Too bad I can't vote though. Only about 11 months off.
