Im hoping that Obama gets in. He's got a lot of support down south. I dont like Hilary because she really cant congradulate, shes a very back stabbing person. "Well congrats to Obama, just remember that you want to elect someone who is going to do something and he isnt it."
And all I could think was.. really?
As for the republicans... come on Guliani!

Barack Obama made one of the most hilarious statements about Bill Clinton being known as the first Black president i've ever heard can't find them anywhere though.

meh, im more liberal then republican atm (because the NEOcons have taken over the republican party) but I havent been to involved with the democratic debates.
Clinton: "I stand for experence!" Zenjamin: "ya, and so does Rumpsfeild, experence often equates with corruption in washington. You also have so much corporate funding that you are in so many corporate pockets that you might as well have a sign around your neck that says "SOLD" Obama: "I stand for change" Zenjamin: "ya, so youve said that, what you havent said is HOW you would enact change, you just reverence some book or document, either you think we are too stupid to tell it to us straight, you really dont change much after all, or you cant pay for it. Edwards: "bla bla bla" Zenjamin: "ya, whatever Edwards your really just running for VP and everybody knows it." NeoCons: "I support the war and the status quo. I also Love Regan even though I tick on everything he belived in. Ron Paul: "I support the founders, the constitution, the sovergnty of the american people over the sovergenty of govermental institutions. I have an economic plan that is detaled and easy to follow because it is baised off of common sense. Zenjamin: UR MI BOI!
... Ok, now that my mini rant is done, lets get back on topic and talk about the The Primaries and Caucuses. As I said in the Ron Paul thread, forums were reporting that RP had 2/3s of the delegates in Louisiana and it looked to be a sure win for him. however Lousiana has not only non-binding delegates, like Nevada, but also verry complicated rules that they havent even released to the public.
aparently they announced Mccaine as the winner when less then half the votes were counted, and they are still being counted... an extremely inefficient and easy to manipulate system.
anyways, they declared Paul second in Lousiana... still verry good, but short of what was expected. but both Lousiana and Nevada, where he got 2ed as well, have non-binding delegates, so the plus side of that is he could still get 1st with the momuntum he is getting. (and I can garentee you that many of the delagates for Huckabee support him for his stance on the free tax act, so once he drops out, those delegates will pledge to paul. (Like many of the Thompson people are expected to do.)

I cannot believe I'm about to defend Hilary. Really. But now:
I have two words for you on this subject. Two words. Dan. Quayle.
Obama: "I stand for change" Zenjamin: "ya, so youve said that, what you havent said is HOW you would enact change, you just reverence some book or document, either you think we are too stupid to tell it to us straight, you really dont change much after all, or you cant pay for it.
I see. So what do you want him to do now? Because he's not telling us exactly what he's going to do he's a liar? He's got a book out.
Edwards: "bla bla bla" Zenjamin: "ya, whatever Edwards your really just running for VP and everybody knows it."
... okayyeahyou'reright.
NeoCons: "I support the war and the status quo. I also Love Regan even though I tick on everything he belived in.
Yeah. Right. So because they don't hate things as they are, they suck. Good logic. Hear of a man named Barack Obama by any chance?
Ron Paul: "I support the founders, the constitution, the sovergnty of the american people over the sovergenty of govermental institutions. I have an economic plan that is detaled and easy to follow because it is baised off of common sense. Zenjamin: UR MI BOI!
You're right! Because no one else has any sort of plan!

I know who Dan Quayle is, and I dont see how it is relivant. Ya, obama has a book out, but im not going to buy it. If you cant tell us your ideas during debates and find mud slinging to be a better use of the people's airwaves, there might be a problem, but i am most accepting of him besides RP.
this is Off-topic and the last I will discuss of it. this thread is for the Primaries and Caucuses. and perhaps the debates in their respective states. this is NOT a general thread for the canadates, there are all ready threads for that sort of thing.
so, if you want to continue on this OT path, please PM me and i will be happy to continue the conversation.

Caroline Kennedy supported Obama in an op-ed piece appearing in the New York Times: "I have never had a president who inspired me the way people tell me that my father inspired them," Caroline Kennedy wrote in an op-ed posted Saturday on the Web site of The New York Times. "But for the first time, I believe I have found the man who could be that president — not just for me, but for a new generation of Americans." Kennedy, who was four days shy of her 6th birthday when her father was assassinated, wrote that Obama "has a special ability to get us to believe in ourselves, to tie that belief to our highest ideals and imagine that together we can do great things." news.yahoo.com/s/ap/kennedy_obama

Well, my other reasons for not wanting Hillary elected aside, do people realize that if she becomes president, that would be:
Bush, Clinton, Bush, Clinton
Can we get some new material please? Its been twenty years.

so, Blue Chibi, do you think that article had an effect on any paticular primary or caucus? (just trying to keep it on-topic)
