Well if you've seen episode two: the cave of two lovers then you can now say that...we zutarians have been moved to the bottom of the food chain. So in this episode, the creators played more towards kataangs and made it even worse by introducing the new character 'Song' into an episode. Zutara was pushed out of the Avatar realm for the moment, but like we Zutarians have mentioned before... there's bound to be a catch. I'm okay that the writers played favorites and were a little biased towards one ship , but these people are creative genius and perhaps zutara will be avenged later on further down in the sereis when Zuko&Katara:Collide again. THE NEW ZUTARA QUOTE:Zutara: Nobody said it was easy...No one ever said it would be this hard...Were going back to the start! (quote taken from Band:coldplay. Song: The Scientist Album:Rush of blood to the head)

Hopefully. from what I hear, Song seems like a Haru/Suki kinda character. She probably won't be back, and only served as a kind of medium for Zuko to see other teens kind of in his position. But. You NEVAH KNOW on Avatar. I guess we'll have to just wait and see what happens.
btw, that quote was dead on fairysgift4u Coldplay is awesome. ;D

You're right, we don't know which way this will swing. I have a feeling that our two main ships will be volleying all season long.

Well if you think about it...Zuko and Katara haven't seen each other in possibly 2 months since their last battle at the north pole.
There bound to meet again, thanks to the Avatar, and just incase anyone has forgotten: Katara has suffered in the hands of the firenation as well! Not Just Song.
Katara had her mother killed in a firenation raid and the only memory she has of her now is her neckalace. Zuko doesn't know the tragedy behind the piece of jewerly and how the Firenation brought that bad memory to her people. Katara is wounded, she has a scar but it's not visible in the flesh. It's inside of her and that's truly where scars hurt the most right?
If anyone is going to agree that Zuko is going to regret that he stole Song's pet, then I don't see how they can disaprove of him regreting keeping Katara's neckalace for a long while and ripping her away from her mother in a symbolic way. Once he finds out he's done this...I'm sure the matter will be taken care of since Zuko strikes up as a different character now...whose unpredictable as he is handsome ;D
Zutara- like Zuko is driven. We are to! Were not giving up!

fairysgift4u: You're denying Song because if she comes back, she'll kill Zutara.
Interestingly enough, she did everything the Zutarians were hoping Katara would do for Zuko. Song empathized with him. She seemed to truly care about him. You can't deny it; there was something there. Was it love? I don't know. But I was getting major vibes there that make me think it was more than a one-time thing.
Song suffered in a way Zuko can relate to a whole lot better than Katara did. She is scarred as well (OMG!FORESHADOW!)
Zuko is changing. He is a different person than the one who took Katara's necklace.

^^ Agreed. He is changing and was a much softer person in this episode.. This is the first time I've seen a Zuko I really liked... But he isn't changing too much.. did you see the look on his face when she said there was hope because the Avatar has returned?? Priceless But I also like the fact that Song doesn't know who Zuko really is.. what's going to happen when(if) she finds out??

If she does find out, she will probably be surprised, obviosuly, but we dont know much of her character yet to decide whether she will be all hurt or be understanding.

gambitia @everyone here lol: That's the anti-zutaraness speaking ;D. A character who is only shown for about a 4-min total time period cannot just kill a shipping that's been going on for most of season 1. (in our hearts!)*True Song sympathized with Zuko. They had things in common, and that's the weakpoint of this couple. Their inner characters are very similar. They don't balance each other out if both are reminiscing on their own past. How can this couple progress if there chained and scarred to events that have happened to them already. It's unhealthy...but tis is only my opnion *I agree there was something there. There was a connection, a similarity. Song was the first person Zuko knows other than himself to have suffered from the war cause she opened up to him-notice how everyone else we met never tells Zuko how much they have suffered-She just opened this spoiled prince's eyes to what is really happening in the war. Perhaps Zuko will have an open mind to others who have suffered from it, cause we know Song is not the last character Zuko will meet that will change him and smpathize with his suffering, she was just the first. To me song was a great character, a great teacher and suprisingly a great lesson to Zuko...nothing more. *Katara is also scarred.(OMG FORESHADOWING! ;D) *Yes Zuko has changed and he is a far different person from the prince who once kept Katara's neckalace to himself. And it will probaly be this new character that would change Katara's and Sokka's opinions about the firenation. (agghhh long post: tired lol)

Katara is scarred by the fire nation but not physically like Zuko. She's more emotionally, not that Zuko isn't since he as well has been emotionally scarred. Plus, I don't see Song coming back to any future episodes anyway...it's like Haru, you knew there was some connection between them but then he never came back, unless he is in later episodes. But hey, this season is already full of surprises, so who knows what could happen.

AUGH! *Pulls out hair* I'm too confuzzled! Help someone! XD But...it's true; all the characters are changing...but no matter what I'll respect the creators decision. I missed half the episode any, so I want to see Song more. *If she is similar to Suki or Haru and such- I'll probably like her.*
Shippings so confusing to me now. But I have to really think about why I feel Katara should be with Zuko again. It...it feels a little wrong to place Zukos only hope of heal in one person. Can't he heal from all, and by then have a romantic...
Okay. I scurry away. I talk nonsense now. *Scurries*
