Did anyone notice the reaction on Katara's face after Aang kissed her and the reaction when he kissed her I don't know if it's just me but that look told me that she might not like Aang that way or that she wasnt expecting that from him...... idk maybe it's just me I also noticed it, if this is the one you're talking about: screenshots.avatarspiritmedia.net/310/148.jpgscreenshots.avatarspiritmedia.net/310/149.jpgOf course, right before it: screenshots.avatarspiritmedia.net/310/147.jpgIt looked like she enjoyed it, but I think it may have sunk in right after that very well could have been her first and last kiss with Aang, that there really WAS a chance he wouldn't make it back. It really was a bittersweet moment, and I think her expression was just to highlight that. However, I can definitely see where you're coming from.

I just got thru watching it again ...and i guess.. yeah i didn't really think that it might have just ocurred to her after the kiss that maybe they might not see each other after that. ;)I guess i was just trying to make the inner zutarian in me happy at the thought the katara might not like Aang..

She kissed him back too. She closed her eyes and enjoyed it. Her eyes would've remained opened if she didn't like it.

Did the underworld just freeze?
I completely agree with Wyrmking, I am not sure that has happened yet. It is kind of nice to be on the same side of an issue.

How did the Gate of Azulon manage to catch on fire? Didn't it just come out of the ocean dripping wet?
Someone might have already said that but I'm not willing to go through 35 pages and check.

ya...maybe the fire was so intense it dried the ropes that burned them...and somehow the ropes never burn all the way through (though there are ways to prevent the burning through i guess)

If they don't want the fire to burn the ropes, it won't burn.

I'm sure it's been said a million times already, but Zuko redirecting the lightning was the new coolest moment in the series.
I also liked how Aang had no problem dealing with the Dai Li. He just needs to master fire bending and he will cement his place at the top of the most powerful bender board.

If they don't want the fire to burn the ropes, it won't burn. The Great Gates of Azulon was not made of rope. It was made of linked metal bars. You can tell by the metalic creaking noise they made while being raised, not to mention looking like a bunch of metal bars connected together. As for the net catching on fire despite being soaking wet, the net is probably coated with napalm or something similar.

Also, metal or not, Firebenders can choose not to let fire burn if they wanted to.

I don't see how firebenders can prevent something from getting burned while it is already on fire. Preventing a flammable object from catching on fire is one thing, but once the object is on fire the fire will continue to consume the object unless the fire is put out. That's just the way fire is.
Remember, benders bend their element, not break it. It is fire's nature to consume and burn. A firebender can manipulate the strength and direction of fire, but he/she cannot alter the very nature of fire itself.
