*This is kinda Degrassi related, lol. I am bored, so I decided to collect some interesting tid-bits on the stars of Degrassi.
-Have you guys ever seen the Disney movie "Quints", the one were the girl wishes she weren't the center of her parent's lives and then she gets 5 brothers & sisters.
Well, if you watch closely you'll realize the boy who is one of her best friends is the guy who plays Craig! Only a
whole lot younger. XD I was watching it yesterday, while I was sick, and I was like,"OMFG!" XD
-You know Miriam Mcdonald (Emma Nelson) & Shenae Grimes (Darcy Edwards) have both had roles on Disney's "Naturally Sadie", Shenae's was recurring as the popular girl, Ardon Allcott.
-Another interesting tid-bit about Shenae Grimes is last heard she is dating Jacob Kraemer aka Ben on "Naturally Sadie".
-Lauren Collins aka Paige has also appeared on a Disney show, "Life With Derrick", as Derrick's girlfriend, Kendra.
-Miriam Mcdonald's nickname is "Billy".
-In 2004, she participated as "Dawn Gensler" in the made for television film,
She's Too Young.
-Cassie Steele (Manny Santos) has also appeared on Disney Channel in the movie
Full Court Miracle. She released her debut album
How Much For Happy in 2005. Her younger sister Alex Steele also stars in Degrassi: The Next Generation as Angela Jeremiah. Her best friend is Degrassi: The Next Generation co-star, Miriam McDonald, who plays her best friend on the show too! In a 2005 inteview in promotion for her CD, she admitted to having a MySpace. lol.
-Daniel Clark (Sean Cameron) - Can u even believe? Yes, Daniel was the voice of "Chip" in the 1997 film
Beauty & the Beast, it was also his first role, not to shabby, eh? Oh, and he also has a crush on the Olsen Twins, lol.
-Stacey Farber (Ellie Nash) - She went to school with Jake Epstein who plays Craig! She attended a private school in Toronto, Branksome Hall. She is currently attending "The New School" in New York City.
-Aubrey Graham (Jimmy Brooks) - He raps under the name "Drake", also his middle name. He will appear in the film
Charlie Bartlett, which also stars Anton Yelchin and Robert Downey, Jr., and is scheduled for an April 6, 2007 release date.
-Shane Kippel (Spinner Mason) - He starred as Chad the Jock in the 2003 film
Todd and the Book of Pure Evil, which was tagged as "A teenager's guide to heavy metal, cheerleaders, true love, and Satan". He also did a guest starring on
Life With Derek as the I-Wanna-Rock drummer in "D-Rock".
-Mike Lobel (Jay Hogart) - He made his debut in a 2003 adaptation of
Oliver Twist intitled
Twist. Mike will make a guest appearance on a new television series next year entitled The Best Years. Mike had originally auditioned to play the role of “Dylan Michalchuk”, a complete opposite role of his current, and instead was offered the larger role.
-Deanna Casaluce (Alex Nunez) - She originally auditioned for, your not gonna believe this, PAIGE!
She also auditioned for Ashley Kerwin. As of season five, Deanna has been given an official starring credit on Degrassi. She was a guest star in every episode she appeared in up until season five.
-Sarah Barrable-Tishauer (Liberty Van Zandt) - She was in the 2002 made for tv movie "The Red Sneakers", it was her debut.
-Jamie Johnston (Peter Stone) - He has also recently appeared on the series Wild Card. He is a student at Cardinal Carter Academy for the Arts, and has a wide range of interests, including soccer, snowboarding, skateboarding and playing the guitar.
-Adamo Angelo Ruggiero (Marco Del Rossi) - He is of Italian descent, he joined Degrassi during its 2nd season.
-Jake Goldsbie (Toby Isaacs) - He originally auditioned for the role of J.T. Yorke. He was also in the 2005 Disney movie
Twitches.
And finally the one we will all miss Ryan Cooley

He was born in Orangeville, Ontario and graduated from Orangeville District Secondary School in 2006.
The Next Generation is a modern spinoff of the classic Degrassi High and Degrassi Junior High series. He departs from the series in the episode of "Rock This Town" after his character is murdered by a Lakehurst student at Emma's house. He is characterized by his mousy brown hair and dark brown eyes.
Prior to joining the Degrassi cast, he had a two-year run as Pleskit, the alien lead in the television series I Was A Sixth Grade Alien. Cooley's other television credits include the series, Are You Afraid Of The Dark?, Queer as Folk, Lexx:The Series and Life with Derek. He has also appeared in the features Sachsenhausen 1944, Toy Men Disney Channel movie The Color of Friendship and CBC TV movie Happy Christmas Miss King alongside his Degrassi co-star Lauren Collins.
In 2002, Cooley was nominated for a Young Artist Award (LA) in the category of Best Performance In a TV Comedy Series.
His father, Charlie Cooley, is a drummer for the Canadian Idol winner Kalan Porter. His father used to be in the band Prairie Oyster. Cooley is much interested in music, and has an affection for a myriad of artists, ranging from Classic rock bands such as Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin, alternative rock such as The White Stripes and Guster to jam bands such as The Grateful Dead, Phish and Umphrey's Mcgee.All info thanks to Wikipedia's Degrassi pages.
