The new episodes were tonight, though I only watched the first one. I am going to watch the second one. I always love me a good Jimmy episode! :3 He doesn't get enough attention in the show, I am so glad he is getting more these days! I was so glad when I turned it on, and Jimmy was the center of this episode.
I really just can not believe Jimmy's dad is having an affair! He never seemed the type! And Jimmy being all devious & holding it over his head to get what he wants. Though I am excited to see Jimmy get the surgery & walk again, that will be awesome! I hope we get to see him kick some serious butt in basketball again! You know one thing that kept bugging me though was the fact that I don't think we've ever seen Jimmy's mom until this episode, and I never heard mention of her. It was like they made her up for this or something. I mean I know he had a mom & everything, but they never mentioned her, so I always assumed Jimmy's dad & her were divorced or she had died.
Oh, and I really like Peter's story about the band & everything. Pretty cool that Spinner joined! I was like,"ooohh, Darcy's ex boyfriend & Darcy's current boyfriend!" Bound to get interesting, no? There bunny mask were so completly creepy though! Annd Peter can't sing. XD

I recently watched a couple of episodes on Teennick and why is this show so depressing?

Because they try and make it really intense and thought provoking. I did spend Jan 1 and 2 watching the Every Degrassi Ever Marathon though. >.>

^^No I didn't.
I used to love this show when it first started, with the original cast. It was amazing, dramatic, and covered all of the main issues that teens go through (i.e. moral judgement, sexuality, decision-making, etc.). However, when the main cast left and all went to college and everything, for me the show just wasn't the same. I wasn't quite as interested in their little brothers and sisters, and all of the other incoming people. I understand that a show needs new people-especially in a school environment, as they can't stay in school forever-but I was rather disappointed in the new characters. To me, they seemed flat, and uninteresting. They all seemed to be the stereotypical high school students: nerd gone bad, confused good girl, the punk, etc. Maybe others feel differently, but I just wasn't as interested in the "New Generation" of kids.
