These people need to realize that animated doesn't always=kids show. Take most animes for example. If Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and Ginga Densetsu Weed were in English and on American TV, young children would get drawn into it, because at first glance, both shows look fairly innocent. They're both animated, and their main characters are both cute akita puppies. To prove my point, here's a picture of Gin, the main character of Ginga Nagareboshi Gin: Note: Weed looks basically the same, except maybe a little younger looking, no scars or collar, and his fur is a brighter, darker blue than Gin's. His eyes are also bluish gray and the animation is generally more modern looking as GNG was from the 80's and GDW came on in late 2005. Anyway, I was expecting a little mild violence in the shows when I first watched them, as I was warned that the plots revolve around war and fighting. As soon as I saw a huge mutant dog called Kaibutsu fall into a canyon and get impaled on a stone spike after almost getting his heart torn out by other dogs, not to mention a demon bear getting decapitated by a spinning attack, I had a feeling that whoever warned me that the violence was "mild" must have been exaggerating. I do like the animes though, but they probably should stay in Japan for their own protection from the PTC, soccer moms, and the like. . Wow. I just looked at some of the screencaps to Ginga Nagareboshi Gin and, wow. Dogs lead such interesting lives. But yes, not all animation is exceptional for kids to view. A perfect example is The Simpsons. Yeah, it's funny and popular and we all know rememorable lines from it, but no matter how many people watch it and no matter how many age groups, it's not intended for small children. We all might not notice it because it's been around for so long, but the Simpson does have sex, and violence and language, three essential things that PTC looks for to kill shows off the air. They only reason why they haven't attack the Simpsons or other popular animations like King of the Hill and Family Guy is because they will literally be destroyed by, oh I don't know, EVERYONE IN THE WORLD. So, the PTC targets small shows, like anime from Japan and other foreign countries. As we all know the PTC is primarily made up of soccer moms, and we all know soccer moms are against just about everything that has the word "gosh darnit" and above. Thus, they have to make everything miserable for everyone else who doesn't agree with their stupid and wierd standard of living. In so doing, their stupidity draws them away from the following facts: - Not all television shows are sutible for your children. That's why they have a "television rating system" going from "TV-Y" - "TV-MA". That way you can choose if you want your kids to watch Teletubbies all day and not make other peoples lives difficult. - A lot of people notice that kiddie shows come on at 3:00p.m. and from 7:00a.m.-5:00p.m. on PBS. It's a trend. If your kids are watching a TV show that comes on at 10:00p.m. and is on Comedy Central, your dumb butt should know better that it's your fault! - If you were a real soccer mom, you wouldn't even be letting your kid(s) watch TV, so maybe you should shut up and suck it up that a lot of people don't want your "help". So, it's your responsibility (by which I mean the parents) to censor what your kids are watching on TV, not the countries. So if you want to scar them for life, make your own kids miserable, not others.

But I've also heard the churches embraced the movie...not the reasoning there for though (They had a book put out, why and how it was rlevant...) *shudder* the mere thought!

Yeah, the book is based off of a lot of, Christian, stuff. i'm surprised that those crazy soccer moms didn't endorse it. Unless they believe in censoring Christianity too. Now that's just a one-way ticket to H*** there. It's basically heresy for censoring the teachings of Jesus Christ.

I was flabbergasted...(like with the one real religious dude, he actually didn't mind Yugioh!!!! I about fainted...I guess I am just prejudice! ) Because the movie has all those weird things in there... But I forget, many of you do not have the - pleasure to live in the bible belt as I do...we have one regular bookstore and about 5 Christian bookstores in town... And yes, by definition, censoring the teachings of Christ is heresy unless you are the preacher...than you can make it whatever your flock lets you get away with!.... (And don't get me started on teh homophobic dirty old man who got off on Tinky Winky!!!! I mean, your mind has to be so deep in the gutter, they have to look for it in China to take offence to a show aimed at two year olds! I like Tinky Winky! He is funny!!!!)

On the wild chance that Gin or Weed get officially dubbed into English and air on American TV, hopefully on Adult Swim as opposed to edited like crazy and ending up on Cartoon Network or Nickelodeon *gags*, the PTC had better not stick their big, snobby noses into it and insult it. If they do, I guarantee that Akakabuto and Kaibutsu will come back from the dead and maul them. I'm too big of a fan to let that group of morons try and axe the two coolest animes I've ever seen(yes, I have seen Wolf's Rain. Too much stuff with the humans in my opinion). *hums Ginga Nagareboshi Gin's theme song* Here's a picture of Weed: The image is from a fansite called Blue Fang. If you want to learn more about Gin and Weed, I highly suggest checking it out. bluefang.dk/Html/frame.html

I'd bet these are the same adults that created 4Kids and made One Piece the horror it is now. My cousin, who is 8, wasn't allowed to go see March of the Penguins because her parents thought it might be "scary". That's hilarous in a sad kind of way! But that's nothing, my mom doesn't like to watch cartoons! I think that cartoons rock! The only cartoon my mom likes is South Park. My dad on the other hand is cool with cartoons.

www.commonsensemedia.org is a nice alternative to the PTC. They are reasonable and take into consideration that something can be innapropriate and still be good and that different kids can handle different things.
