We send messages back and forth occasionally on myspace. No new news though. They've been working on other things now that Avatar is done.
As an update, I haven't sent in the list yet. People are still signing it (average of 10 a day). A month or so more and we'll probably break the 8000 barrier.

Nearly at that 8,000 level already ~ 7,700+, last time I checked.  I'll have to go on their MySpace and see what The Track Team is working on next. edit: Ack, their Avatar cues player isn't on the MySpace anymore.  Anyone else get it? ...Legally. (Hope this means they had to take it down since the OST is being produced. Yeah, that's it.  *keeps fingers crossed*) But in case y'all haven't seen it yet, they do have some tracks of their other work up at www.thetrackteam.com/run.php ~ click Lane 2. Good stuff. Reminds me a bit of ...hmm, ginormous. Got to get me some Track Team CD, yum. |

Mmkay, I'm really confused and behind the times, but I have to show my stupidity and ask.... has a soundtrack actually been released yet? Lots of Avatar-related tracks have been scrobbled on The Track Team's LastFM page.... and I can't find anywhere to stream or download them. *puzzled* |

Nope, still nothing as of yet. We broke 8,000 signatures this weekend. That was the final hurdle I wanted to break before sending the petition in. Would certainly be a nice release to build interest in the series again.

We broke 8,000 signatures this weekend. That was the final hurdle I wanted to break before sending the petition in. Oh, yay.  Congrats ~ I can't believe how long it's been, and how much interest has been generated. I hope it works, and we get an official release (and the Track Team gets the deserved boost!) ~ please keep us updated. |

If they wouldnt put out a soundtrack after 3 whole seasons, what makes anyone think they would put out a soundtrack for a 12 part miniseries? Im done with petitions.

Iroh's "Four Seasons" is just the like 30 seconds of him singing - They didn't make full versions in several songs. Besides your excellent point that the full tracks are likely to have been edited down in the final filming from which the youtube clip was undoubtedly ripped, there are greater production values involved in making a soundtrack.Beyond that a great many people including me shared the view that the the series deserved atleast one official soundtrack to recognise the outstanding quality of work in the series. Easily the most elaborate music production for a tv childrens cartoon series that I know of. Spongebob has a "Greates Hits" cd for crying out loud. Inspite of all the people who petitioned for it, Paramount/Nickleodeon ignored our request on the one hand and yet thought the franchise was lucrative enough toss a couple hundred million on the movie adaptation. If they wouldnt put out a soundtrack after 3 whole seasons, what makes anyone think they would put out a soundtrack for a 12 part miniseries? Im done with petitions. We could still wish Sure, but theresa lot less chance of this series getting a soundtrack compared to the original and we all know how that went. |
