OFFICIAL Petition Drive for an Avatar Soundtrack

The way this thing is picking up, we'll have 2000 by the time I decide to send it in. That is good. Very good.

Excellent ~ maybe even more. The pace has really sped up; the count is already at nearly 1,700. ;D

So, more of some of my favorite comments that people have taken the time to add to their signature space (I just can't resist) :


"I'm a 35 year old man that loves watching the show with my kids. The music at the closing credits is fantastic. I would buy it in a hot second. I've been looking for the song online for a couple of weeks, and most people I talk to say they would love to be able to buy it also. Even if you don't put together a soundtrack, I sure hope you make the credits music available!!"

and

"PLEASE make a soundtrack! I'm BEGGING you- I've already got to put up with iTunes not putting up any of Joe Hisaishi's work! Please allow the Track Team to release a soundtrack!"


iTunes doesn't have any Hisaishi? Hope that changes.


and of course, finally:

"AUUGHHH!AUUUGHHH!AUUUUGHHHHHH...uhhhh (foams then faints)...CD please! (faints again)"

Would you believe that because of the first episode airing that we got 36 yesterday alone? That's the highest total I've seen in 6 months! And September is the second highest for signatures since I put this up! We're 41 from the highest record yet.

So all in all it was a very good Friday.

do you think that they may be thinking of using the same music in the movies? That might explain why they are holding back on a soundtrack for now. They would release it with the movies >.>

Otherwise I can't see why else they wouldn't release it! They would get tons of money out of it, and we would have the music. Win, win situation right there.

I'm awesome like that. More than likely it's because I changed my sig and avatar over at seibertron.com to what I have on here. It's the largest Transformers fansite on the internet and I'm a head mod.

It also helps that a ton of people are posting it in other places. I did a search and found someone posting it on some dutch forum as well as in Yahoo! Answers.

Also nice that Jeremy and Ben have it on their Track Team myspace pages.

Y'know, if other people would squeal and spaz in here about how awesome the music was and how great it will be to get a soundtrack... I wouldn't have to double-post so much.

Okay, so here it is a week later, and already nearly 150 more signatures have been added. (Including someone claiming to be Patrick Runyon. O.o You never know.)

And of course you know I come bearing more awesome quotage, this one from Kyle Norby:

"Avatar is one of the most amazing animations I have ever seen... I have met with people like Don Bluth and have compared the work of Disney to the creators of Avatar: The Last Airbender.
