Avatar: Into the Inferno -Third Season Game-

Hey guys! I was just on ASN and I saw a new thread in the merchandise board, and here is what I found! A brand new Avatar game! And no, I don't take credit for this finding. By NO means. It was found by 'mrshock13'!

This was copied from the front page:

"The article states, "The next iteration is called Avatar: The Last Airbender -- Into the Inferno and specifically follows the adventures of Aang and his friends during the third season of the Nickelodeon show....The title is once again being developed by THQ Australia and will ship for Wii, PlayStation 2 and DS this October."

I must say that this game looks truly amazing, a big improvement from the second one, and looks more like a Avatar Star Wars Lego formatted game. So I know, come October where my money will be going! Hairy Zuko, heck yes!

If the moderaters feel the need to place this in the spoilers board, be please do. Because I wouldn't know if this should belong here or there. Yipes. :/

Looks pretty good to me. I have never played the second game... I have to admit to not willing to give it a go after how dull the first game was.

If the game is canon (which it should be) than I got more spoilers out of that, than reading through the actual spoiler board. Certain scenes with certain characters seemed very interesting.

I personally never played any avatar games, and I'm glad I haven't. They look terrible. I mean if your going to make a game, you have to put effort and heart in it, this game seems kind of repetitive and dull, and the movement is so jittery. I like the fact though, that they are using game elements from Okami. So we'll see, and hopefully its two player, you gotta have two player mode.

Anyways, I think I saw a couple of scene of what I believe to be spoilerish:
1) Boiling Rock, Zuko + Sokka - 1:29 to 1:36
2) Destined fight between Zuko and Azula - 1:57 to 2:00

I played the first on PSP, and the second on PS2 on co-op. First was more challanging, but lacked depth. Second was done in two hours. It had about an 1/8 of the canon season within it. The visuals where horrible, and the gameplay lackluster. I had hoped the promised special features would rectify it a bit, but it was nothing worthwhile. There was even an arcade v.s. match which is its own story. I dont hold any hope for this game. Any THQ kid licenced game is not worth my time.

This actually looks really good. I might actually have to buy this one. Even though graphics don't mean that much to me, the past avatar games have had such horrendus graphics, only upon first glance admittedly, that I didn't even bother to look at them. This one seems decent and actually looks pretty neat.

as a gamer. I must say, the game itself doesnt inspire much... but you really cant tell too much.

But I was interested in how the characters were paired up in fight scenes.
looks like we will be getting some Zuko/ Sokka action.

I have a Wii but I'm not sure if it's worth even a rent. Haven't played either of the earlier games cause of the bad reviews. It looks better but I'm still apprehensive.-__-;

Yeah, I was just browsing IGN and the Avatar thumbnail caught my eye. Nice to see that the game's going to deal with the events during season three, and not some random filler quest. I might actually play this one to keep myself sane after I come to the realization that there won't be any more Avatar... ever. ;_;

Also nice is the fact that the DS is going to boast super-deformed character models. Hopefully that will keep it out of the bargain bin for at least a few weeks. >_>

It looks like an improvement over the first and second, but by how much, we have yet to see. Glad to see that the Wii controls have been somewhat better implemented into the game. I'm actually more interested in the DS version.

Ill probably never play the game as i have non of those formats (only a ps3 that doesnt paly ps2 games
But i luved the trailer because it had some much needed clues about upcoming episodes like Sokka and Zuko fighting together at the boiling rock!!!!! hope thats baised on the show!!
And they had tokka fighting together though that looked like it was from DoBS

Sounds cool! I'm not going to look at the trailer yet because of spoilers, but hopefully this game will be better than the first, which was pretty bad, and the second, which I heard wasn't all that good either.
