I went out and bought the game. The thing is , I only have a PS2, so I have no idea how much better it would be for better systems. However, the game is a bit oversimplified, combos for each charecter are the same. It is two player, all the way through, but in one player mode, you can choose who you want to be, like the first game. This game does seem a lot cleaner than the first game, but already found a bug. I jumped off a log and couldn't get off, had to reset the game. I hate that. The fighting does seem pretty good, with any game, getting used to how to manipulate, it does seem fairly responsive. The nice thing about this game, is it actually does stick to the story line somewhat , and that makes it better than the first game, hands down. There don't seems to be armor upgrades and amulets and gloves and boots to upgrade, and that is too bad, but I just started playing, so I am unsure about that stuff, but there is none of that in the cartoon, so it is more, well, true to the cartoon. thanks for the info. (i'll try not to jump on that log when i get the game today at wal-mart) lol! the first game...to say the least.. was easy...(i got 100% on each of the levels) i hope this game is a bit more challenging!

I should be getting the Wii version of the game in the mail sometime soon, but I'm really curious about the DS version of the game. I haven't able to find any screenshots or info for it, and I really liked the DS version of the first game far more than the console version. =/ This second game does look more promising than the first one though, especially with the more playable characters. The swamp clip of Katara waterbending looked really smooth and fluid compared to her waterbending in the first game. Anyone know if there's any wi-fi play though? Or is THQ saving that feature for the third installment...

I found the DS version rather boring, but I didn't play long yet. The first one seemed better, I still have yet to see the GBA version anywhere, though it does say it is out already.

Now I am thinking about renting it. The best part is that my new apartment is only a four minute drive away from it now. But I need some help. I have a question about multiplayer, is that online or are they referring to co-op play? This will help me on which console I should rent the game. I kind of want to rent the game for Wii, but if there IS an online multiplayer aspect to it. I have no choice in renting it for the PS2. Does the game have an online multiplayer mode?

I don't know, I churned a little when I heard this game was coming out, the graphics looks horrible, and I'm sure the game will be full with repetitive gameplay and glitches/bugs. I didn't find any glitches when I played it. Admittedly it was the DS version and that was developed by another team, not THQ. But still, I think they'd try really hard to make the game glitch and bug-free. The graphics look...ok. A little plastic-like and a bit too smooth and shiny. They could do worse, anyway. The flying and multiplayer bits sound fun, though. That was one of my complaints about the first game-once you beat it, nothing else to do with it.

Has anyone tried the Arena mode? I'm anxious to find out how that's like!

I know it's not a big big game coming out, like Halo 3 and TLoZ: PH, but I would like some game site to at least put up a review. For those of you playing the DS one, after a while of playing it, could you let us know what it's like? I never heard anyone talk about the first DS game, I sure would like to know about that too.

Ok, I played through the whole game, fun and all, but I found it to be quite lacking. DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Unless you just gotta have all things Avatar. The arena mode is just stupid. All the combo's for the players are the exact same button sequence and none of them do anything really unique. Uncle Iroh shoots lightening , but all the combo moves are as powerfull for each charecter. Its fun ... for 6-8 year olds. It lacks so much in charecter design. Aang is the Avatar , and should be able to switch from Air bending to water bending , and then as this game goes on , to earth bending. Each charecter should have had thier own unique moves. I would say the first game was better than this one in that respect. Katar- should have been able to go into octupi mode. Toph should have been able to become a rock giant. Zuko should have been able to have fire whips. Aang- should have had Avatar state on demand. Or a meter to fill to get him there.
I guess overall, with the programming possibilities , and the abilities of our beloved charecters, this game is an utter failure.

Nick should have given this contract to Ubisoft. Can you imagine how sweet that would have been?
