Katara turning evil to the point of her just killing innocent people. No, that would never happen. If she lost everyone she has ever loved at the hands of the Fire Nation and her people having been exterminated by them, I can see her taking pleasure perhaps briefly in killing Fire Nation soldiers but in the end she would feel guilty for doing it. She would not stay on the dark path for long either. The guilt would be too great.

Katara would never "turn evil" in my opinion because... well... Katara is such a motherly figure. It would be like your mum going evil. It just wouldn't make sense to me. The fire nation killed or separated her from everyone she loved, she wouldn't just join them!

That would be so cool if she turned evil. I always wanted a waterbender to turn evil so that I can see how much ice can really do and how easily it can kill someone.

Katara's not going to snap, morph into the the Hulk and smash all in her path. But she's slowly changing from her overly compassionate, nurturing demeanor into a more distrusting person. I could see her being a serious pessimist in season 3 just because she's been tricked by Azula in Kyoshi clothing and let down by Jet and Zuko (though Jet redeemed himself).
