back in the hay day of avatar I was a teen on this site. I came back to make amends for how cringy and awful teen me was. And the new Netflix series kinda brought me back here. My name used to be aanggirl ugh I know cringe right? Well I know this forum isn’t as active as it used to be but I decided to apologize for how stupid teen me was and move on. I might not be as active on here I am on tumblr or reddit mostly.

Hey, I remember you! Welcome back! And don't be so hard on yourself; everyone feels cringy about their past selves. I know I do, haha. But sometimes it helps to just accept who you were back then, and how you have grown since. Netflix ATLA should be interesting, though I haven't heard anything else since the original announcement. I'm trying to stay attachment-free since it's still in the early stages, but my main hopes are that: 1) Appa and the other animals will be cute and not horrifying/uncanny valley, and 2) That the live-action will have its own spirit/style/whatever-you-call-it, and not just be a beat-for-beat replication of the animation. Like the current Lion King & Aladdin remakes, which I'm very disappointed with as a kid who grew up on those movies. I have faith that the casting choices will be good since Mike & Bryan are in charge of the project this time around, and it'll be fun looking for easter egg nods to the cartoon/comics.
