This board is far too quiet for such an awesome series. I'm really looking forward to the episodes and I bet most folks here are too! So I have to ask... what are you most excited about in regards to the new series (try to keep spoilers free, or hide them under a spoilers tag, if you'd be so kind!)

I'm really excited for the fight scenes. The martial arts demo shown at SDCC looks incredible, so seeing that combined with Korra's art style and the elements just makes my little fangirl heart explode. ^^ I'm also really excited that Korra as a strong female character is front and center, so I not only look forward to that as being a part of the show, but also to how it will make up for all of the marginalizing that was dealt to Katara, Toph, and Azula merchandising-wise. Although I'm sure there will still be a number of products that will emphasize Mako & Bolin over Korra, and that makes me cryyyyy, but at least she hopefully will still stand a chance of having some things, unlike Katara sobsob.

I would have loved having a Toph figure or two. It seems like female characters kind of get shafted most of the time in that regard (the obvious exception being the whole "scantily clad hero babe" sect. I am really looking forward to the martial arts too, and what I've seen of the settings really blows me away. I'm definitely going to have to pick up the artbook for Korra.

It's hard not to be excited for everything, but for some reason I'm more excited to see what new inventions and technology that this series will offer. Based on the trailer and images shown so far, there's a lot of stuff that has advanced. Makes me wonder random things just to name a few: - what places from ATLA have been changed/kept the same - if they use paper money or still use coins - different tools they use for building/construction - transportation systems for non-benders.. but I would love to watch the fighting scenes myself....

I'm looking forward to the Korra fight scenes the most. Been a while since I've seen an animated awesome female martial artist that wasn't in a hot sexy outfit.

I'm looking forward to witnessing how different Korra is compared to Aang, and to love an Avatar that is a female. I can already tell she is FIERCE. Plus how much the Avatar world has transformed and how mature the show will be. I'm basically excited for everything, from the biggest things to the smallest of details.

I am excited about the bending, and basically everything already said. But I'm really exited and very eagerly interested to see the action of the Probending competitions. Those will be epic and action packed (not that the rest of the show will be either), but a different kind of action!

I've heard a little bit of a new Avatar series, is Korra Katara & Aang's daughter?
I love the LAB series, it's probably one of my favorite shows of all time. I'll see if I can't watch some episodes of the new series when it comes out, I hope it is as good as the original.

If you'd like spoilers, or at least know what's already been released about the show, you can find a text list here on the forum, or a more condensed form with pictures here on the DH fansite. If you haven't seen the trailer yet ( here), you should -- it's gonna be cool. As for Korra, she is from the Southern Water Tribe, but we don't know who her parents are. She's not Aang and Katara's daughter, but at least one of the Kataang children will be on the show, an Airbender named Tenzin.

The thing I'm most excited about is how airbending is taughtX3 I've seen airbending in action, but Aang is a total pacifist (no offense intended). Plus we've all seen how waterbending, earthbending and firebending are taught, but air remains a general mystery to the fans....
I am also looking forward to seeing Tenzin and his kids. His son acts like Aang has inhaled a couple dozen pixie sticks XDDD
