No, not the airbender one... so Hubby watches the commercial for the movie (I don't even pay attention to it anymore) Suddenly he says 'How can that be Avatar, nobody has an arrow on their head' I was slightly surprised, I didn't think he had paid attention enough to remember anything about the show.

Ahaha, that's great.
My parents asked me if the movie coming out was related to "that show you always used to watch". They find it hilarious that there's actually a movie coming out based on the show.

Some of the guys in my English class were talking about how they wanted to go see it and my teacher asked what it was about and if it was based on something. Someone spoke up and said that they thought it was based on a cartoon on Nick. I just had to smile at that one. xD

I saw the movie, it was pretty good. The graphics were amazing and yeah haha, I was watching tv one night and the Avatar trailer came on and my mom asked me if it was about that show I used to watch all the time. Along with "pokeman" and "that-show-where-they-shot-spinning-tops-at-each-other".

In the weeks before Avatar came out, a bunch of people kept coming up to me and asking if I was wicked pumped about the movie. I was confused how they all knew that I like Avatar yet have absolutely no idea what the show is. If you've seen five seconds of it, you'd know there were no blue people. I thought Avatar was very good though. I don't have the best filter for good and bad movies, but it kept me entertained. And I felt badass going to see it at 9 o'clock on a school night, so that might have added to the awesomeness.

Avatar was a terrible film and I left the movie feeling slightly cheated.

I dunno, I enjoyed it while watching the movie. But by the end of the day I had more or less forgotten about it, and it left no real impact what so ever on me. Also again, James Cameron can't write. The fact that he thinks he can write is simply outrageous, and offensive to the very notion of taste.

Well storywise, cliché, But If you want to enjoy some really really marvelous/awesome visuals. Go. just go. It is one of the very few films that I actually gone twice.
