Figured it was time I told you guys. I haven't been just totally active lately. Thought I'd explain.
See, my mom found out a few weeks ago that she had a tumor in her kidney. It was cancer. So she went into surgery and had the kidney removed. She won't have to do chemo or anything, but I've had to help her out a lot after the surgery. She's going to be just fine. I just wanted to say that.
I'm sorry I didn't tell you guys earlier. I didn't want anyone to worry, because naturally at first, I was scared to death. I don't care what stage it's in, you never want to be told by someone you love that they have cancer. *shudders*

I'm glad she's going to be ok. I hope she recovers quickly.

=o She will be just fine. My dad just went through that last year, in addition to prostrate cancer. His recovery went very well.

My mom went in for surgery about a month ago to remove some sort of cancer from her girly parts. Or something. You know my family kept me out of the loop on this one. I learned about the surgery maybe an hour before she went in under the knife. :/ Accepting our parents own mortality is a pretty big step in our lives, and in a way we should be glad we do it when we are older. Sure there is the accepted trade off that we actually -understand- whats going on which makes it a bit scarier to endure, but we are, in essence, mentally prepared for it. They're our heroes ya know? And seeing their limits kinda gives you a strange feeling. Numbing almost. I hope for a healthy recovery for your mum. Everything will be fine.
