yeah, christianity is all about jesus. judaism and christianity are consider 2 separate religions. Also christianity in general is not an organize religion, just catholicism. Christianity is basically Judaism + New Testament, just like Islam is technically Christianity + Qu'ran. They're the same religion, just with more stuff. Same values, same morals, just different customs.

We only share the major beliefs with the protestants, that is jesus is the son of god, that he died for our sins, that on the third day he came back to life and ascended into heaven, that one day he will return( End of the world). Thats pretty much it. We are an organized religion, thats why we don't have any branches connecting to us. You sound worse than the local protestants who ask catholics if they believe in Jesus... There are enough 'branches' off catholisim, based on the numerous orders of monks...don't make it sound like it's one cohesive mass of believer in the world!

ohhh that is where he went. and i'm not saying i believe in him i don't not anymore at least when i was a kid i did. but god is not a good being. he ordered jews to slaughter everyone on there return from egypt. and when one person didn't slaughter every lving thing of a village he was punished i don't get that and i do not like it. sir: may I introduce you to the ISraelites situation. they were a wandering tribe with enemies on all sides who would attack them without hesitation AND were bigger ,stronger, and scarier than the ISraelites. so killing the people was aneccesity of war. take jerico for instance. do you know what they did after they tore down the wall? they slaughtered every man woman and child in the city except for the prostitute that helped them out. they did this in many other tribes surrounding the area. killing defenseless women and children is not a necessity of war.

[/quote] Krayziebone: no f*** the torah, nobody even believes in it. We are a cohesive mass of believer in the world. All catholics follow the pope, There are organizations within the church each with their own purpose but they are not a different religion.

Radical opinions without facts behind them aren't allowed. Right now this is simply an opinion, not a post to be thoughtfully considered.

Krayziebone: no f*** the torah, nobody even believes in it. Just to back up what Grandi said, that's unnecessary. I know you're defending your beliefs DE and kraziebone, but respect each other's opinions. Thoughtful debate only, please.

here are some facts. th bible is the source of all anti-semititsm in teh world today. in teh new testament the whole thing with the jews killng jesus has escalated to reason behind the deaths of millions of jews and i'm not talking just about the holacaust which may not be even the reason for it. i'm talking about the inqusition the three crusades all that stuff that killed so many people and its all thanks to that evil book. so yeah it may send some good messages, but it also is teeming with hatred.

Hatred, the bible teaches to treat others like how you would like to treat yourself or something along those lines, the only reason why people picked on the jews is because they were weak.

Just to play devil's advocate (no pun intended) source please? There was anti-semitism long before the Bible was even written. The Bible itself has words--people "teeming with hatred" misinterpret those words and thats when things go bad. But that's not to say that it only happens with the Bible. There are lots of religious texts of OTHER creeds that people misread and go to war over. Edit: Hatred, the bible teaches to treat others like how you would like to treat yourself or something along those lines, the only reason why people picked on the jews is because they were weak. Uh...not really. There's a plethora of reasons why people picked on Jews throughout history. During the Bubonic plague outbreaks, people thought the Jews were witches because the sickness didn't spread in their community as rampantly as it did outside their group (which was actually a result of their Leviticus codes which demand cleanliness). People picked on the Jewish because the Jews were a fairly exclusive group of people--they didn't marry outside the family etc., they stayed within the community. Others saw that as uppity, rude behavior. They picked on the Jews because in some regions, the Jews composed of upper class artisans/craftsmen and bankers and the lower classes were upset by this. People picked on the Jews because--like so many other cases of prejudice--they were different.
