Nickelodeon, created more than a T.V series, they created more than a simple 30 frames per second animation. They have made a culture. The way that the writers, the producers created a finished product, which inspired, brought tears, brought laughs, and brought joy to me. Wow. Avatar, it makes me wonder what some of ours hopes and dreams can create. A world, so engaging that you WISH that one day you woke up reached for a cup of water, and bended it directly into your mouth. A world so captivating it makes you want to jump into the screen and ride on Appa. A world that lets dreamers dream, and ponderers ponder, a world that gives the brain something to conceive. A world that you can interpret in your own special way, What does Avatar mean to me? Avatar means more than my words can express. Thank You -Truly Yours, Suki... Lol i mean't soki XD Please do not double-post, use the button.

Very touching soki. Avatar is truely a work of art. And like all works of art, it is meant to inspire thought and change. For me, it did both.

Soki - instead of double posting you can edit your posts by using the modify button in the upper right hand corner of your post. What Avatar means to me.......well it's become a huge part of my life now. I spend a lot of my free time here or watching episodes. I think about the show and my ships a lot and I talk to my friends about it. I've always had a fandom going on in my life and I love being able to get into a different, supernatural world and just be away from regular life. (It's late at night so my post might not be very coherent >.>)

What Avatar means to me... hm... I guess it really, in the end, means friendship. By watching the show, and getting involved with the winding plots and characterization, I found inspiration. With inspiration, I found others that felt the same - especially here. And here... I found friends that I truly care for and always have something to talk about with. I think Avatar has brought a community together - it's cultured people in true animation achievements and opened doors for all kinds of fans. It makes people happy, and it definitely makes me happy. I'm so happy to see it have the success it does, because it means a lot to me.

At first, Avatar didn't really catch my attention, but after really watching the show, I felt like that was all I could do. The strong bonds created in the show were almost the best part for me. I have unsteady relationships with almost all of my friends and family right now, due to college transition, and that opened my eyes in a manner of speaking. I feel like Mike and Bryan made the characters easy to relate to, and that attracted loads of people, including me. (This may sound a bit cliche), but Avatar put a sense of balance in my life, and its a welcome feeling to be on solid ground.

Since i've watched the ending, i've started hating watching avatar. Im just sitting here crying... (im tearing up atm) wishing that i never started to watch it, i wish it was wiped from my mind. I love avatar. There is no replacement, i will now have an empty spot in me. from another post i have put on this forum...
Im 16 and im a guy. I've watched it since the first episode. And i just watched the last 4 episodes (i stopped watching b/c it took weeks for them to come out, so i checked online today, and they were on) and i can't stop crying. It's been about 6 hours straight. I just start ballin right when katara and aang kiss at the end. I really can't cope with this, i feel like crap. I hope that they do make spin-offs so i can calm down... this is really bugging me. Ps, yes i have a life and im perfectly straight.. Its just, if they don't make spin-offs, i'll be so mad.

Yeah. This is the first anime I really got into. Avatar has so many different perspectives, conflicts, and real-life issues that make the show attractive to almost any audience. I <3 the show and will continue to watch re-runs just because they're worth seeing. i1own0u- I agree, there should be some spin-offs. I can't et over the fact that Sozin's Comet left some loose ends.

Well sorry. I still love this show, and i hope somehow they will answer all the questions they did not in the finale. I hope they do something before that movie comes out.
If that movie has swearing, IMHO i think itll ruin the movie. Same with like blood gushing out, and guts and stuff. M. Night is used to PG-13 and R movies, he better be able to get his act together and make it PG. I mean Aang is 12, you couldn't see him saying a** n stuff like that.

Bull. Pg-13/ R doesn't mean that's going to happen. It means they'll be allowed to actually have blood and more challenging subject matter.

^I agree.
Though avatar is an amazing outlet that has changed us all so much, we must find new things to carry on with. We cannot resist the future of tv and our lives, however much we want more avatar. But truly, I don't think I would've turned out the same person if I hadn't gotten into avatar. Especially with this awesome community it has created!

Avatar is the first cartoon that has captivated me. I watched it since the first eppie and found myself addicted. Avatar has raised the bar on what I expect from a show, even if it is for kids. I have never found a cartoon where the animation, storyline, characters, and plot were so gripping. The characters are what did it for me, they are so real, so deep, so full of emotion, it was hard not to grow attacted and feel for them. I found a whole world of people here who love the show as much as myself, and that may be one of the best things that came of my love for the show. Joining DH and seeing other's opinions and the way they interprite the show is awesome! There are so many smart and creative people here, I love it! I have also found myself soaking up the marvels of Ancient Chinese Culture, I love history but I'm almost to the addicted point. Avatars culture has facinated me so much, I'm thinking of taking the same major as my friend.
Avatar has opened many doors for me, and I don't think there will be anything anytime soon that is going to compare.

@dragonfly- I have to agree with you. THhis show has been something that changed several of my opinions. I feel lke this show has been gripping and almost addictive since day one, and the characters got me into it. I think Zuko's was the one that did me in 'til I saw Azula's character. He does anything to get back what he had, his father's attention. Granted, Azula had it way more than he did, but I have tried to regain something, and because of this, realized that it wouldn't be worth it. I wouldn't be happy, so I let go and went off to become an attorney, instead of an english teacher.
