So, simple question. Do you like listening to music on CD players or mp3 players? No in betweens! I honestly prefer CDs. Because despite having five different mp3 players over the course of about five or six years (all them either broke a few weeks after I got it due to a bug or they bummed out on me over time), my Sony Walkman - which I got for my thirteenth birthday - still works and is as reliable as ever. And it's not even the schnazzy kind either. No backlit screen, mp3 playback (whatever the hell that is)... Just plays CDs. Plus, it's nice to listen to music with a higher grade of quality (yes. CDs have a higher quality than mp3s), AND unlike some cheap people out there I like buying CDs (not a digital soundtrack) when I get money, because physical CD artwork is a lot more satisfying then the 4x4 centimeter picture that you get on your mp3 player's screen. (Though I'll be honest when I say that I only buy on iTunes or download from a P2P if I can't find the CD in stores around me, or if the song is part of a $50 album from Taiwan.) But I do like mp3 players for their small size and the not having to carry your CD book everywhere you go. I'll give them that. But they have a lot of nice CD carry cases, and if you have a big enough purse/pockets, just carry the little 16 pocket CD case with the CDs with the select songs of the day.

This is hard for me to answer...
I always buy CDs...and put them on my iPod and listen to them on it (though technically it's an MP4 player). I've only ever bought 1 song from iTunes.
I listen to the iPod more...so I guess I'm an MP3er then...

Both, I say. On the one hand, I love the convenience of having virtually my entire music library at my fingertips, but I also love the tactile pleasure of changing discs and albums.

Hmm, hard to say. I'd honestly die without my iPod, but I prefer having the hard copy of the songs just in case my songs go missing. It's happened before. D;

I like MP3s better than CDs. I can put all five hundred something songs in one tiny thing, while a CD can't and I can hear it anywhere whenever I want. I still buy CDs of my favorite bands. Then, I put the songs on the CD in iTunes and upload it to my iPod.

I always buy the CD's, unless it's just one random song I want, that I'll never find anywhere else.
I transfer them over to my ipod though. It's way more convenient and practical. Still like CD's however.

MP3's over here. It's more convenient than dealing with cd books, plus you never have to worry about running out of batteries for it.
I do miss the artwork on cd cases, though.

MP3's defiantly. It's just too hard to keep up with cds, plus I don't like carrying around portable cd players. lol.

CDs for the quality, but that's irrelevant if you just rip it. So MP3's.

I love buying CDs simply for the artwork on it. I understand how much work people put into designing the cover art on the case and on the CD itself, so I feel like I'm cheating them if I just buy it on iTunes or somewhere else. But at the same time, they get scratched so easily and I really hate it when they skip in my car, ruins the flow and the mood. Mp3s don't do that, so MP3s for me.

The only thing I really don't like about CDs are the price, the skipping, and some of the odd junk they do with it. I thought that with the arrival of online music stores like iTunes, the price of CDs would dwindle.
But then I remember, "CD atwork is expensive (and worth it), along with the jewel case and the actual CD itself..."
But the other thing that bugs me with CD artwork, is when it comes in that stupid digipack - you know the cardboard CD case that won't last past this year. What's even worse is when they put some dumb sticker or security tag on the pamphlet inside (or outside). That's really annoying!
One major thing that bugs me about iTunes purchases is that when you purchase the song/album they don't include the lyrics. And, it really bugs me that iPod is all up and on about you being able to read the lyrics and sing along with the song, but then you can't even add the lyrics yourself on your stupid iTunes library (or change the track number. That's another thing: if you have partial album downloaded from another source, the track number goes "1", "2", "3", but if you download the rest from iTunes, then it goes "1 of 10", "2 of 10", "3 of 10", and then the whole album is all out of order!). And you can't drag and select.... But my friends told me you could but have failed to show me, so if you can drag and select on iTunes, please tell me!
Yet some more reasons why I hate iPod. (Yes. I know the irony of hating this company with a passion and yet having an iPod myself.)
I didn't mean for this to turn into an iTunes rant.
But yeah. I'm SM: the girl who can rant about everything, even the stuff she adores.
So yeah. CDs for the quality, mp3s for the conveniency. But when I do download mp3s, I either make sure that they are of the highest quality and were ripped from the official CD, or make sure that they are iTunes Plus.
(Hm. Maybe I should have created a third party poll.)

Actually, CD's don't necessarily have a higher quality than MP3's. I've tested that out before, and it's the same, but it depends where you get your songs.
Anywho, I still love to buy CD's of my favorite artists. Of course I'm willing to support the ones I really like. And I love the great pictures some come with. But since they're a bit pricey, I limit myself to the amount I buy. I need a bigger CD case, I already have two full ones. D:
But I think I'm a bit more for MP3's. And I have my MP3 player with me all the time, plus it holds a more variety of songs that I can listen to. It's more convenient, and there's no difference in quality, except for a select few songs.
