Name: Wezurii [Has dropped last name]
Nicknames: Wezzy[from mother]
Gender: Male
Age:19
Nation: Earth Kingdom
Hometown: Gaoling
Element: None, not a bender
Experience: None
Weapon: Fist and a 32" Broadsword[Steel and combat weight]
Appearance:
Schooling: Home schooled and tutored.
Personality: Wezurii is a very calm person. He has difficulty making decisions because he has to think everything through to the end. He never take's sides of an argument and doesn't form opinion's easily. However, his opinion on the war is: 'War is natural-let it happen' He is not good with social situation's.
History:
Birth and Early Child Hood[Age 1-3]
Wezurii was born 19 years ago[Year: 1081] in the city of Gaoling. He is an only child and his father was a successful merchant and his mother stayed home and managed the house. Wezurii was an adventuress child- and would explore around the house, opening whatever he could. As he go older and started walking, he would go with his mother to the market and 'venture around there. A few days after Wezurii's third birthday, his father was sent off to the war-because of Wezurii's young age he wasn't hurt or affected in anyway-or, at least that was what his mother has told him.
Earthbending[Age 7]
Since the first time Wezurii saw someone Earthbend it has been his dream to become the best Earthbender in the world. He begged his mom constantly to send him to an academy. His mom gave in and decided to send him. When the day came for his first day at the academy he was excited as can be. He went in and listened and watched carefully, and when it was his turn, he failed. He just couldn't get the movement's down, the proper way to perform the techniques. They said he was,'to loose to be an Earthbender. He ran out of the academy- and cried his way home. All of his dream's, his hopes- his expectations- were shattered all the instant they began. He was hung over this event for a few weeks, his mother thought he was depressed- but like all children- he got over it- and started a new dream: learning to fight without bending.
Choi Lei Fut[Age 8-12]
***
Before I begin this section- let me give some background on what Choi Lei Fut is. Choi Lei Fut is a Southern Chinese fighting style- which features [like other Southern Styles] 5 animals;tiger, dragon, crane, leopard, and snake. However, this style is distinctive from the rest of the Southern Style's because of its long strike's and circular motion's caused by overall body movement. To simply it, lot's of punching, barley any kicks. .....[Yes- I realize I mentioned a sword earlier- that's for later]
***
Wezurii went down to the market everyday- to buy some food with the money his mother gave him. But one day- on his way home he was confronted by an older man with gray hair and a dirty green robe. He kept stumbling around as he followed Wezurii. The man rushed up to him and took the food bag from Wezurii and ran off. Wezurii was about to yell for help- but before he could another man [or- he assumed] dressed up in dark green jumped out from what seemed like nowhere and landed in front of the robber. The man in dark green quickly leaned to the right, circled up with his left arm and locked the [drunk] mans arms. The [ninja if you will] then leaned towards the man and ridge handed his neck. The [drunk] man fell to the ground and dropped the bag, which the [ninja] picked up and returned to Wezurii. He [Wezurii] was scared of the man in dark green, yet excited at the same time. He handed him the bag, and said with a soft voice,"Are you ok?"
Wezurii took the bag back, but was confused. 'A girl did that?', then he nodded.
"Take care" she responded as she pat Wezurii's head- then walked back into the ally. Weuzrii couldn't believe that a girl saved him. He knew he should go home- but he realized this was the only way to learn to fight without bending- so he followed the women.
'Hmm?' the women turned around to see Wezurii again.
"C-a...can you...t-e..teach me to...f-ight like that?" he managed to make out.
The women paused, "Why would you want to learn that?" she asked him- hoping she would get a legitimate response from the boy.
"I always wanted to Earthbend- but when I got the chance....I was no good at it...So- then I decided I wanted to be a great fighter without bending and..."
The women cut him off, "What's your name?"
"Wezurii" he quickly responded.
"Ok then-Wezurii-I'll teach you Choi Lei Fut."
"What's you na-?" he started- but the women had continued walking away- he followed.
Wezurii and the mysterious women continued walking through Gaoling. After about an hour of walking-they reached there destination; a small building that was perfectly rectangle. The women walked inside- and waved Wezurii in.
Wezurii looked around- he was astonished. The building was so small from the outside- but on the inside it was amazing. It was completely different from the rest of the house's in Gaoling. But it wasn't a visual difference- it was something else, but he just couldn't put his finger on it.
"What exactly- is this place?" He asked still looking around.
"This is my dojo!" The women exclaimed proudly,"You ready to start?"
Wezurii's eye's lit up, "Yes ma'am!!" He dropped his food bag down near the door and then waited for instruction.
"Your first lesson will be..." she tapped her chin, "oh! The stances!"
"Ok! Sound's umm.....stances?"
"Yes- the stances. Stances are different way's you can stand, well, you'll see!"
***
I will try to get a video or pictures of the stances, to help show.
Also- these are the stance's we use for my martial art- although we DO study Choi Lei Fut, we don't do it most of the time.
***
For the next few hours, the women showed her new student the stances. Riding horse stance, hill climbing horse stance, lady horse stance, 7-star horse stance, crushed horse stance, kneeling horse stance and then butterfly horse stance. Then she went on to teach him the Shaolin Half Stance and the side blade stance. They practiced this, until the sun went down.
Wezurii was tired, he had never worked harder in his life. But, although he was tired, he was satisfied.
"You should get going- I'll walk you home" the women said, she grabbed his hand and picked up the food and walked out the door.
"When...will my next lesson be?" Wezurii questioned.
She looked down at him, and smiled, "Whenever your ready for one."
"May I ask you a question?" he looked up at her, she nodded. "What is your name?"
The women's smile went back to normal- and shel looked forward,"Qing." she said, as the reached Wezurii's house. She let go of his hand and lightly pushed his back.
"Qing, thanks" he said, but when he looked back at her, she was gone.
Wezurii shrugged and walked inside, his mom ran to the door and gave him a hug.
"Wezzy where were you!?" she yelled, "I was worried something had happened to you.
"Something did happen...but I'm not hurt at all..."He hugged her back, the bag of food fell on the floor.
Wezuii and his mom went to bed, and the next morning Wezurii's mother wouldn't let him go back to the market because she was worried something might happen again. Wezurii decided to sneak out of the house, and to go find Qing again, for he respected his mother, but he also wanted to continue learning.
***
Just to clarify, obviously I wont do every day of his training, just first two and them some specific thing's that he learned along the way. As you can tell this is going to be a long, LONG bio., so expect to read a lot.
***
"Good morning, Qing!" he yelled as he opened the door to the dojo. Qing was wearing a light green robe as she sparred with a wooden log off to the side of the room. She stopped and looked over.
"Good morning." she said, she waved him over,"I want you to do the punches I do, but on that" she pointed to what appeared to be a log covered with pillows. Wezurii walked over to it and then watched Qing.
***
Note: I have no clue how to spell the punches, so I wont try...lawl
***
For that day, Qing showed Wezurii different punches. He would watch her carefully, then mimic perfectly. He noticed that to do the punches he needed to stay loose, which was easy for him. By the end of the day, Wezurii was wiped, and Qing was still practicing. Like the day before, Wezurii was walked home, and his mom once again was scared of what happened, but she wasn't mad at him, just scared for him.
The next day, Wezurii went to his mom and woke her up, she rolled over and looked at him.
"What is it, Wezzy? Are you ok?" she asked.
He nodded, "Yes mom...I just want to tell you where I have been the last...well...This women was doing a martial art called Choi Lei Fut, and I wanted to learn it because I can't bend."
His mom's eyes wideneded, she wanted to get up and yell at him, but she never did that, even as mad as she got. She wasn't happy with the idea of him doing the martial art, but she didn't want to make him get hurt again. "Fine..."she said, "Just...tell me next time before you go....ok Wezzy?"
For the next year and a half, Qing continued to teach Wezurii all day, every day. Wezurii continued to go, and each day he loved to learn even more. He learned and perfected forum's, stances, techniques, and fighting styles. It is now Wezurii's 10th birthday, and Qing has something special for him
Wezurii went to the dojo to meet Qing, like he does everyday. He opened the door and walked in, but he walked in on an empty room. He looked around, the room still had all the equipment- but Qing was nowhere to be found. He slowly and carefully walked in, as he looked around. He looked down and saw a shadow that came in from the outside light, he spun around and was ready to defend himself if necessary, but he realized the shadow was Qing's. She looked at him as if he were crazy, and then handed him a bag.
"What's this?" he questioned, as he took the bag and peeked inside, but he couldn't make out what it was.
"It is a new robe, one just like mine"she told him, "try it on!"
Wezurii didn't say anything, he opened the bag and pulled out the robe- holding it in front of him. His eyes lite up with glee, he put the robe over his clothes and smiled at Qing.
"Where did you get this? It must of been very expensive!"
She shook her head, then closed the dojo door,"No- it use to belong to my brother when he was your age..."
"What happened to him?" he questioned, his excitement suddenly ended, as he expected to hear something bad.
"He's my older brother- this was his when he was your age. He...died in the war though..."Qing said, her usual happy tone seemed to completely go away.
Wezurii paused for a moment, he couldn't decide what to say next. He had so many questions, but he wanted to ask the right one,"Did he...volunteer for the war...Or...was he forced to go?"
"No- he wanted to fight in the war"she paused, and took a breath, "He died for a reason- to keep us free."
Wezurii was stunned. He did not know what to say after that. All he did was bow to Qing as he softly said "Thank you" and he went home.
All day Wezurii had thought on what Qing had said about her brother. He had never really understood war, but from what he learned through home schooling was that war was unnecessary violence. But he realized that there was more to it. Not all the violence was unnecessary; obviously Qing's brother took part in the violence for a reason. He cared about the Earth Kingdom and wanted to preserve it. Although he did not fully understand war, he had a better idea of what it was.
For the next two years, Wezurii continued learning under Qing. He was taught more advanced techniques and fighting styles, along with some advanced forms. All went well- until one day...
Wezurii woke up, and got dressed in the robe he got on his 10th birthday. When he had first got it, the robe was to big on him- so it fit perfectly now. He told his mom that he was leaving to go see Qing, and she gave him a hug and kiss goodbye. Wezurii head for the door, and as he opened it, a strange man was standing right outside, with a letter. The man had a sad exspression on his face, he slowly handed the letter to Wezurii, and just walked away.
He shrugged and opened the letter, and began to read it...
Dear Wezurii,
You are an excellent martial artist. You have progressed magnificently sence you started four years ago. However, I can no longer be your teacher. I am going off to the war to fight for the Earth Kingdom. I just want you to know that I am fighting by choice- not by force. Although I can no longer teach you, I want you to keep practicing, perfect everything we have learned together. You have great potential, you will go far. I only wish I could stay and watch your skills progress- but this is something I must do. Maybe we will meet again someday- you never know; but for now- this is goodbye.

End of Section
For the next three years Wezurii explored the Earth Kingdom with his mother, learning new techniques and styles as he continued to perfect the old ones. His mother at first was not happy about Wezurii's dreams, but she didn't want to discourage him. She realized that the only thing that made him happy was martial arts, and she wanted him to be able to do that freely. She took on the responsibility of home schooling him because his teacher refused to travel with them.
Wezurii is now 15, and has been thinking for quite a long time. He was considering leaving his mother, and going to Fire Nation Territory. He had heard some rumor's that there were some Choi Lei Fut Masters south of the Fire nation Capital. He really respects his mother, but he also love's to perform Martial Arts. Plus, he had hope that he would be able to somehow re-unite with Qing. After some long thinking, he decided to leave, without telling his mother.
Looking for the Masters[Age 15-19]
Wezurii arrived at the Fire Nation Capital, but he did no go inside. He knew about the dangers that awaited him if he would ventured in. He realized that the Fire Nation looked down on Water Tribe and Earth Kingdom citizens. To avoid making contact with the Fire Nation, he paddled close to land under the cover of darkness, so he could safely get to his destination.
'I thought I was lucky enough to pass through the Gate of Azulon, but this is impossible'
After a full night of paddling, Wezurii was exhausted. He managed to get out of sight of the Fire Nation Capital, and luckily there weren't any guard tower's in sight, so he decided to go to shore and camp for the day. He could not believe that he had gotten so far on his own, he could only imagine how his mom is feeling right now....
That night, Wezurii awoke and looked around. His vision was blurry because he just woke up. As his vision cleared up he realized that his boat was gone, so he had no way of going back if he needed to. For the next few days, Wezurii walked south, only during the night, looking for any hints that would lead him to the supposed Choi Lei Fut masters, but he had no luck.
For the next few months, Wezurii travled the Southern Fire Kingdom in search of the master's. He had met some traveling merchant's who were able to give him some knoweledge and rumors, but they all lead to nowhere. The last merchant to give him different
Wezurii was slowly walking down a dirt road, which was formed my merchants over the years. As he walked he stared at his bleeding and swollen feet. Which each step he hook the sharp pain pierced him. As intense as the pain was, he was determined to find the Masters.
Further down the path was what appeared to be an older gentleman riding a old horse. The horse was moving at the same pace he was talking. The man was traveling in the same direction as he was, all the other merchant's were going towards the Fire Nation Capital.
"Old man, may I ask you for some knowledge?" he asked politely, as he tried to catch up the the man. The man looked back at Wezurii and eye'd him.
"With what do you require assistance with, young traveler?"
"I am looking for the Choi Lei Fut Masters...Do you know where I can find them?" he asked, hoping for some useful help.
The man stopped his horse, "There is only one master" he said calmy.
"Well, where can I find him?" Wezurii replied. He was actually in some disappointment. He was hoping for more then one master so he would have a greater chance of learning, but with only one master his chances were slim.
"Come, I will show you." he said, his horse started walking again, "But don't be expecting to be trained, the Master is very selective."
Wezurii frowned, "Yes sir" he nodded. He was extremely hoping that 'the Master' would take him as a pupil. He could only wait as he followed the old man on the horse as he tried to bare his feet pain.

Ok- not as long as my previous section's, but it still isn't done.
