Words can not describe how much this series has taught me.
A Child Called "It", The Lost Boy, A Man Named Dave are the main three books, however a book called "The Privilege of Youth" was written to fill in the gap between "The Lost Boy" and "A Man Named Dave."
Personally, The Privilege of Youth was my favorite. After so much hearth ache and abuse, it was beautiful to see the person he was beginning to turn into. A Man Named Dave was also an interesting book.
If nothing else, A Child Called "It" served to show me how wrong it was to judge people based on outward appearances. Not only this, but to not follow the respect for ignorance, or ignorance is bliss, policy. The mentions of Suicide in this novel almost tore my heart to shreds, honestly. And the children encouraging it reminded me all too well of the playground taunts of a few select kids that was supposed to be funny.
If you haven't read it...I must warn you, it isn't for the light of heart.
Discuss plz.
