Our director tends to throw his baton when someone (including him) messes up...in our old high school, it actually got stuck in the wall He also yells alot, and before he was in possession of Dr. Beat, he had the cowbell...for some reason, he always stood behind the saxophones (my group), french horns and trombones. He also likes saying "My bust" when he messes up, as opposed to "My bad"...he said it today during our practice, and the majorette I was by during the drill burst into laughter with me ^.^ It was just a funny day today ;D

Yeah, our just throws metal stools, stands, chairs...whatever he can get his hands on. But he usually doesn't do that unless we really get him mad. His policy is "I will attack what you are doing or did, but I will never attack you personally" And when he does pick on people, he picks on the people who he knows won't take it to heart or seriously.

Thanks! It was out of 2, but we're a really small band and for us it was good enough ^^;The best part is that our drum major flashed the entire audience at the end. It was really windy and she was wearing a semi-short skirt. She turned around to command us to leave the field and the wind blew the back of her skirt up. All the way! (and we have it on video tape!!) Its a good thing we told her to put shorts on underneath.

Man I love band to pieces. If I wasn't in band I swear i'd be a delinquent. I used to play clarinet but I didn't enjoy the noise so I converted to mallet percussion and have sticked with it since. =) Is anyone going to the holiday bowl? And are there any other fellow drum majors?

My brother plays mallet percussion. But neither of us are drummajor (hopefully I'll be vice president though!)
We had a competition yesterday. We didn't place, but at least we weren't last. It was the first time that we ever beat another band (all our other competitions had been either against only one other band and we lost, or we were the only ones in our division)

We don't compete. We don't have enough money to. Our rivals at homecoming are jerks! Their band spat at us before our halftime game. So I chewed some of my friends in their band out about it on myspace. I later apologized because I had lost my temper, but they continued to insult our performers who had done solo things like our fronts, Trumpet Guillotine death squad and our cymbal dancer. Urgh....so rude....
