We only use figuers during some battle in our dnd group to keep track of the locations of every character. I don't want to be acadently hit by a burning hands or acid arrow Making figuers is not really my thing Yea premade ones are so much easier

There's a customization sub-forum on the Wizard's D&Dminis forum perhaps someone over there could give some advice on how to make custom figs or at least some repaints. I know I have a ton of genaric "warriors in fullplate" that could be made to look like fire nation soldiers.

Honestly I don't see the need for minis. When my group plays RPGs, the GM usually just has a graph paper sketch of the battlemap, if anything.

The only peson who really needs to know if you can hit something or not is the GM. I honestly don't care, and just ask him if I can hit something when I wanna range attack it. And really, what's the problem of using your imagination? (by the by, Milkman, the new edition of World of Darkness (Vampire the Masquarade and all that) is much better. Nicer production value, smoother rules, but still the same vampires you know and love. Not like some new editions of RPGs I know *coughcoughD&D4theditioncough* )

Not sure how long, depedns on size, its generally fast enough, as for designing it any 3d modeling program could work, why not, although the lab at my college that has it probably uses Blender knowing them so for that printer it might be set up for Blender made 3d files
