Good thing a master waterbender and semi-master firebender are between them eh?
WT 5 status: Some parts have just been scrapped. The serious parts. Replacing with another guest star in hopes of bumping up the comedy.
I've got three working titles to choose from though: Home on the Range, Cirque du Agni and Cannon Ball Run.

I applaud the tenacity of the Tokkans and Kataangers.
Despite Suki's return, they're holding steadfast to their beliefs that Toph gets Sokka in the end.
Likewise for the Kataangers and the recent Zutara filled trailer.
It's all fine and good.
But wouldn't this be a great opportunity for the show to convey this message?
"Life's not fair. Deal with it."
Toph and Aang are young, they've got a long life ahead of them. If they can't overcome their first romantic disappointment, I don't think they'll get very far in life.
I mean, who declares their undying love at TWELVE!?

I was happy for the "zut-zuts" when they released the clips. Aww man, has anyone else noticed that Toph has so little screen time? maybe something happened? We're only a few episodes away from the finale, I really do hope you're wrong, Marvel! XD taking suki away is just plain evil. lol. And yes, the writers aren't giving us any taang clips while zut-zuts are screaming wild..so..unfair! community.livejournal.com/capslock_atla/563497.html#cutid1She mentioned Koh would show up, but only for a short time though. Any thoughts? I think that there is a twist during these episodes that will center around Toph and will end with hints of Tophaang. I don't know if Tophaang will become canon in the series because they are so young but The Swamp keeps telling me that Toph is Aang's future. He just doesn't know it yet and neither does she. |

As I've said, Taang is an implied relationship rather than something shown blatantly on screen. Taking into account their ages and that certain demographics might feel uncomfortable with them being in mature relationships with older members of the opposite gender. A 12 year old having a crush is sweet and cute. A 12 year old ready to have a family is just...I can't even say it. Okay, I'll not exaggerate, a 12 year old thinking about the long term... Wow, ever met any kid who didn't look past tomorrow or even ten minutes from now? Yes, they are at war. War forcibly ages you. But not in terms of romantic emotions and feelings. In fact war might stunt that part of a child's growth. Hell, I'm half expecting them to grow up with mental issues due to war. The fact that Aang and Toph seem to find love right now with katara and Sokka confounds me. Pardon me if I seem overly critical here: "People are suffering but who cares? I'm in love." Priorities, people! Priorities. |

LOL. That would be gold to see happen. Though....Mom predicts Toph won't care. X3 Hmmm, I think I'll bet against your mom. We know from past episodes that Toph, as strong an earthbender she is, has low self-esteem when it comes to just being girly or, so she doesn't kill me, pretty. I'm not saying she'll be mad she didn't come off as a complete girl, but just acknowledging that she is one! I think she'll laugh a bit about it, yet still feel a little bad. I never post in the Taang thread but I do have a soft spot for it.
I think Taang is cute. I think I made a Taang amv once cause there was a small period of time that I really liked it.

First off, thanks for the words of encouragement but I can't write anything right now. Currently at page 19 of the chapter, then I went and watched The Boiling Rock, so I had to stop as I would have been...how should I put this....influenced by the episodes. So it won't be up for quite some time. Second, can't say that I like that particular fic Regrets. Had Toph sleeping around and, in Zuko's case, be a homewrecker though unintentional. Not my mug of cola. In fact I find it distasteful. I like violence, gore and sex which is pivotal to the plot. But adultery? (unless it's a crime novel where such acts are run of the mill.) No. Don't care how pretty you paint it. Just no. But power to the author for having the guts to write it. Did a good job. I just don't like the subject matter. Could be Toph coming between Aang and Katara. I still wouldn't like it. I believe in the sanctity of marriage. And lastly Karma for finding the picture.
