If Aang and Toph were to marry where would they live? Definitely not with the Bei Fongs, but Toph is their heiress, so what happens? Where are they gonna live? Are they gonna be rich, considering Toph's rich, and so on.

That's an interesting question...
Oooh, I'd love to see something like this done "Jerry" style! XD
Announcer: Today on the live Jerry Springer show! We have Mr. and Mrs. Bei Fong, filthy rich upperclassman fighting it out for their only daughter, heiress to their estate and fortune, against Avatar Aang, penniless monk who has to repopulate an entire nation! Will love succeed, or will blackmail and money change hands?
...yeah, anyway.
I think she would live with Aang in the Southern Air Temple, coming home to visit occasionally. That's how most fics have it anyways, but you're right, Toph is the heiress to their entire estate, unless they disown her or something, she's going to be inheriting the business, and I can't see Lao too excited about handing it down to Aang. XD

Hehee. Yep, so true about Lao. Though I can't see them living in the Southern Air Temple because it would be kinda a disadvantage to Toph in certain cases. Not to mention heights.
Oooh Avatar Jerry Springer style would be soo cool! I love your announcer.
Jerry: (to Aang) So you're having problems with your in-laws?
Aang: Yeah. They don't like me very much. They've even bribed me to "go away"
Jerry: Mr. Bei Fong you would think a father would be happy that his only child and daughter is married to the famous Avatar, but why aren't you?
Lao: He kidnapped her!
*gasps*
Jerry: We'll return after these few messages.
XD okay that sucked.

See? The Jerry Springer idea would be a good skit.
Combustion Man could be Steve.
No one in their right mind would let Aang handle money.
Lao: "Avatar Aang, though I've....reluctantly...accepted you as my son-in-law. There is no way in the Nine Hells that I will hand over the family business to you. No offense."
Aang: "None taken. Why not?"
Lao: "You have no business savvy or even a formal education."
Aang: "I've got the wisdom of the ages of all the past Avatars right here in my head AND I've had a formal education, I've been to school."
Toph: "Twinkles. None of the past Avatars were business people, the only spirit that made deals was Koh, he deals in faces not money. What's more you were only in school, without official records I might add, for like a week. Your greatest accomplishments were making a portrait of Ozai out of noodles and inciting a rebellion."
Lao: "What was the last major financial decision you made?"
Aang: "......I...I bought this neat bison whistle. See?"
Toph: "Leave the business to me Dad."
Lao: "Toph...I wish I could but you can't read."
Toph: "You want the alternative?"
Aang: "...oh and I did help buy some of the supplies with the money we made from Toph's cons. I rather liked the lemur themed sleepwear. Fuzzy and functional."
Lao: "I'll have the accounts changed to your name dear."
Aaah! Another semi-skit! To quote Al Pacino from the Godfather III,
"Just when I thought I was out! They pull me back in!"
Oh Maylene, that was good. You just have to expand on it. Make it grand. Above all else, remember: "Make it funny."

I don't think Toph's afraid of heights, I mean, she's used to riding on Appa, isn't she? And how would it be a disadvantage to her? She's surrounded by rock XD ROFL! No, I liked that! Especially when Aang's like, "They bribed me to 'go away'" I could totally see that happening! Lao: Aang, you're a good monk, aren't you? Aang: I...guess you could say that Lao: Always listened to your parents Aang: Actually, I was raised by other monks, I never knew my parents Lao: Okay, you always listened to the other monks, right? Aang: Well, actually, I sort of ran away and abandoned the world for a hundred years because I wasn't ready to save it, but...I'm listening to what they told me to do a hundred years ago, does that count? Lao: ...o...kay. Moving on. So you really just want to do the right thing, am I right? Aang: Yep. Lao: And you know that we, as in I, as in Toph's father and parent, only want the best thing for her, correct? Aang: Depends how you define best thing. Sometimes what you think is best isn't really what's best. Lao: I want you to stay the heck away from my daughter, got that? Aang: Lemme think...no. Lao: Listen kid, here's a gold bar. Go find some nice new clothes, and maybe some cologne, and get yourself laid. Aang: Uh...thanks...but- Lao: Go.Away. Aang: but see- Lao: Leave. My daughter.Alone. Aang: yeah but- Lao: Don't you get it?! This gold bar is a bribe. You take the gold, and STAY AWAY FROM MY DAUGHTER! ah, yes, maybe they just need to have a man-to-man talk Avatar State style XD EDIT: Oh marvel, that was fantastic! XD I loved the part where he's like, "I brought a bison whistle" XD Haha, you just can't help but love hanging out with us!

I don't think Toph's afraid of heights, I mean, she's used to riding on Appa, isn't she? She also hates it though. Remember what she told the Earth King? "First time flying?" "It's both exilerating, and terrifying." "Yeah I hate it too." ROTF! oh my that was wonderful! Marvel: Unfortunately I lack in writing humor. TT_TT

Ah, that's true, forgot she said that. But that's flying, not heights.
Uh...no you don't. Re-read RaC. Most of those were humor XD

^ All right then, I don't think it would be safe to raise children with a blind mother. What if the child was an airbender? What if Aang was gone one day? What if the child flew, and Toph couldn't know where it was and then it fell down below? I know it's horrible to think that, but what if? ^^; Better safe than sorry.
I see them having two houses, if not one for every nation since Aang will probably still travel. I see the Southern Air Temple as a vacation house; and an Earth Kingdom house as their base.
Okay okay you caught me. But in truth, I don't think my humor is that good; also it has to strike me. I'm not very good with making it on the spot like that. ^_^;

You sound like Lao and Poppy...(that's not an insult, btw, it just sounds like the type of thing they'd say >___>)
Okay, that's true, but it can also happen in the EK.
...okay, the risk is much less there, so maybe they would live in the EK until the kids are old enough to look after themselves? (You know, like seven or eight, I think that's old enough.)
LOL. Most people don't think what they write is good/funny, but that's why there're other people to tell them they're wrong ^^

Poppy and Lao hmm? ^_^ Well I'm sure Ursa and Iroh would agree with me as well. lol
I'm guessing you want them to live in the SAT? Or that's how you really see it? It's just for me, I guess I don't see what they would in the SAT since it's deserted. There's no one, and Aang's so very social; and it may become boring.
And thank you for the encouragement. ^_^

LOL. It's just the fact that you're taking into consideration all the aspects of it. I never thought about it that way, I guess you're right, it could be dangerous...
Oh, come now, Maylene. Two hormonally charged teens in a big, empty Air Temple, and you can't think of anything they could possibly do?
I see them living there, either right away or later on, because that's just where Aang grew up, and the place means a lot to him. If he's going to repopulate the Air Nomads, they're going to need a home of their own, and the temples are the perfect place for it.
He's social, that's true, and I see them visiting the EK, FN, and WT quite often. But they'll also be in-love, and I'm sure they'll want their alone time ;D

Is something wrong." Toph: "....." Aang: "Toph? What is it? Are you feeling alright? Did you sense something from the baby? Did the little scamp kick you again?" Toph: "Aang...I...I don't know." Aang: "Hmmm?" Toph: "I don't know if I can take care of a baby." Aang: "Is that what's gotten you?" Toph: "This is serious Aang." Aang: "I know. You're calling me by my name. Only times you do that are when you're serious or when we're....well...that's why the little scamp's in there." Toph: "Stop making jokes! I'm serious! Aang, what if she's an Air Bender?" Aang: "She? I was hoping for a He." Toph: "AANG!" Aang: "Shhhh shhh. it's alright Toph. Everything is going to be fine. You'll make a wonderful mother." Toph: "No, Sugar Queen's a wonderful mother. I won't be able to see my child, how can I even take care of her?" Aang: "Toph, you're not 'blind' blind. Of course you'll see the baby." Toph: "Not if she's an Air Bender! I have trouble locating YOU sometimes and I can tell you to stand still. She'll wander around Aang and I won't be able to see her." Aang: "Are you hoping that she'll be an Earth Bender?" Toph: "No! No! I don't mean that. I know the world needs Air Benders." Aang: "Toph, Toph. Air Bender, earth bender. It doesn't matter to me. She's OUR child. We made her. Together. That's all there is to it." Toph: "But how will I take care of her if I can't see her? Aang, I don't want to become some over protective parent...like MINE. I want my babies to be free and happy and right now all I can think of is how to keep them right by me like dolls! I don't want to be my parents!" Aang: "And you're not. You are not your parents Toph. You're not controlling, over bearing or worse 'blind' to your child. You can sense her vibrations in you. The two of you are connected Toph. You'll never lose her. Ever." Toph: "But why am I thinking like this?" Aang: "You're nervous. I am too. I'm afraid that my duties might take me far away from you and the baby. I don't know how Roku did it. He never told me. But if he can have a family. So can I." Toph: "We can go with you....unless it's into fighting." Aang: "Unless its into fighting. Feeling better?" Toph: "No. I can't shake this feeling that if I turn away for a second, she might fly away." Aang: "Katara did mention something about you acting really weird during your pregnancy. Something to do with hormones. What are hormones anyway? Crazy woman stuff I think." Toph: "Read a book Twinkles." Aang: "You called me Twinkles. You are feeling better." Toph: "A little. But I'm still scared." Aang: "I'm here. I'll always be here. The world's still rebuilding but I'm sure Kuei, Zuko and Sokka can handle most of it. Hell, Iroh threatened them not to call on me unless the world was about to end. And you know what?" Toph: "What?" Aang: "You and the baby ARE my world. So I'm not going anywhere anytime soon." Toph: "Eewww...ick....mushy." Aang: "Once we get back to the Southern Air Temple, I'm going to show you just how mushy I can be." Toph: "Oh Aang." Oh my God! A drama skit!

-gasp- It must be the later hour. No other explanation. I liked it though, especially the ending, made me laugh XD Did you ever read Rhythms by xcgirl? It also has Toph going through pregnancy and comparing herself to her parents.

That's how I do my skits. End it on a laugh note. That's it! I'm out! I'll be here till Thursday! Try the veal.

I think Toph would be nervous when the child is young, and I mean really young. As they grow older, Toph would punish them in cruel and unhumane ways. XD
@marvel: You never cease to amaze me, I personally loved the little bit of humour at the end.
