I just started swimming this year (sophomore in high school) after quitting basketball. It's SO much more fun and relaxed. There's five lanes in our YMCA and they put us with people of our level, so I'm with the others who have no idea what they're doing. XD It's so much fun. I can't really do breaststroke or butterfly yet, but when we have to do them, our lane is pathetically funny. We're like drowning. In meets, I'm always unofficial, so it's not stressful. I did backstroke and freestyle. My free time isn't that great, but I improved in every meet, so I'm happy. By the end of the season, I took 10 seconds off my 50m- getting down to 32 seconds. (I just learned how to rotary breathe this year....)
One time in the 100m free relay, a group of us not good swimmers got stuck in an official race against the hardcore kids. I was fourth and by the time it was my turn, all the others had finished, so I swam my ENTIRE 100m alone. SO embarrassing.

Yeah i hate when that happens it sucks. *and i havent checked this in soo long lol*
I finally getting my breaststroke time down again. SOO Happy!! My sophmore year i could go like a high 35 or 36 and then changed my stroke and was hitting like 38's. So now finally i am back and in the groove and swam a 37.4 yesterday at practice , which is good cause i rarely sprint like i could during practice and i couldnt lift my arms that day. YAY
