So what are your favorite songs from the early 90s, 80s, 70s, and 60s? My top three favorite songs are from the 80s (I think). I remember them from when I was a wee chitlin. They are: Lionel Richie- All Night Long Clash- Rock the Casbah Belinda Carlisle- Heaven is a Place on Earth I also like "Listen to Your Heart" by Roxette, "Land of a Thousand Dances" by Guy, "Stayin Alive" by the Bee Gees and some stuff by Janet Jackson or Whitney Housten or Diana Ross or someone. It was one of them three. Or all of them. Iono.

Nice thread!
I usually listen to pretty upbeat stuff, but when you cross back into the former decades, the music that sticks with me are the more mellow songs. I guess I got tired of the "classic rock" bands. I've heard them too much. (The likes of Zep, AC/DC, Aerosmith, et al)
60's - Anything from the Grateful Dead or the Doors. 70's - The Kings - Switchin' To Glide 80's - The Talking Heads - And She Was 90's - Nirvana - Lithium (for now)

There's a lot i could list for the 70's and 80's because I've been listening to a lot of older rock recently and I'm loving it. i ca't really say I have a favorite song in anything, but I will mention some stuff i really like.
60's: The End, When the Music's Over - The Doors
70's: all of The Plastic Ono Band(album) - John Lennon, all of Dark Side of the Moon, Wish You Were Here (both albums) - Pink Floyd, all of A Night at the Opera (album) -Queen, and all of Kate Bush
80's: Ashes to Ashes, It's No Game (Part II) - David Bowie
90's: all of AEnema (album) - Tool
