I have read all of them, well, except the last one which isnt out yet.
The City of Ember: I really liked this one because it was really original, except for did anyone notice the similarities to The Giver? The characters were original and the storyline was amazing. It was sad at some parts too, I felt so bad for Lina. Rating: 8
The People Of Sparks: I didn't really like this one, i don't know why, it was just hard to get into. What Lina did was really daring. Rating: 6
The Prophet of Yonwood: I loved this one, I finished reading it today, and i got it two days ago. When they(sSpPoOiIlLeErR) took the dogs away, I was on the edge of my seat. and the whole war thing was really a good plot. Rating: 9

Colour me intrigued!
I just now got back from watching the movie version; it was okay, but not outstanding. Visually very striking, very reminiscent of 'City of the Lost Children' or 'Delicatessan' - almost steampunkish. From Wikipedia-ing just now, I gather that they made a fair few changes from the book - I'll definitely keep my eyes peeled for the book, though!

I remember these books! I read the first book, City of Ember, years ago, and I loved it! I remember the cover said a movie was going to be made off of the book, and I'm so glad its finally here! I also read the second book, City of Sparks. I was nearly as good as the first book and very exiting in itself. I never read the third book though. . . Does anyone know if movies will eventually be made for all three books? I'd love to see them!
