By Cassandra Clare.
REALLY GOOD.
I think it's new, but you should check it out if you like fantasy!

I read it and I liked it.
luxa- the book is basically about a girl named Clary who witnesses a murder at a party one night. The murderers were three teenagers with lots of tatoos, that no one else could see. But the wierdest thing is that after the victim is dead, he diasapears. A few day later Clary's mother disapears and she is more or less taken in by those teenagers, who, she finds out, are shadow hunters (aka, Demon hunters) and that she may have a connection with them.
ugg that was a bad summary, but I'm too lazy to go get my copy of the book and re type the summary in there.
****SPOILERS*****
The only thing I didn't like about this book is the fact that Clary and Jace are sibilings. That just about ruined the book for me, hopfully that will be improved in the next book.

I started reading it, mainly because I really enjoy Holly Black's writing, and the book had her endorsement. Also, the story sounded interesting. I'm having a little trouble getting into it, though. I'm only on page eighty or so, but so far the story hasn't really reached out and grabbed me. It's mainly the writing style I'm not a huge fan of. The narrative is a little bland. Maybe I'll get more into it as I go along.
