Ok so the Odyssey isn't a book, but its an epic poem so it counts and it may as well be a book cause its sure as heck long enough! Romeo and Juliet isn't one either, but oh well, live with it!

As far as classics go, I'd pick a tie between Wuthering Heights and Phantom of the Opera. Both have a nice mix of the gothic era into them that I really enjoy.
Plus, crazed dark heros are always fun to have lurking around in a novel. xD

Would the Old Man and the Sea count as a classic? That is one of my favorites.

Hell, Phantom of the Opera definitely. It's <3
The Odyssey comes in a close second, though it's very repetitive, so Phantom wins =D

The Count Of Monte Cristo by Alexandre Dumas is really good. I had to read it in French though, so it was kind of stressful. Still though, it had a great story to it. ^-^
My absolute favorite is The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald. <3

I liked The Time Machine by H.G. Wells. I recently read it, and it was really good.

It's so hard for me to pick my favorite books in any genre. If forced, I'd have to say that Dickens is my favorite classical author...and that Tale of Two Cities or Christmas Carol would be my favorites. Although, I noticed you had Grimm Fairy Tales up there, and I love reading Grimm.
If we're going all the way back to mythology, I'd have to say Oedipus.
However, I really really hate Shakespear, but I love Macbeth so...maybe that should win for that reason alone...Hm....
(so indecisive)

I'd have to say Great Expectations. Everyone in my class despises that book, but I love it. It's such a sweet story about a man becoming a gentlemen and trying so hard to be with the love of his life. *squee*
