“Other Media” posting guidelines.
1) About posting
Seeing as spam is frowned upon and we’re encouraging everyone to put more content into their posts, it won’t be any different for the Other Media.
So far it has always been that when you say, “I like ___” it was okay. But from now on you have to give more reason. “I like ___ because *insert reasons*,” is much more appreciated. You are showing support for the subject with well thought out arguments and popular support may encourage others to check something out that they may have never watched/read/listened to before.
Saying simply “it sucks!” or “worst band ever!” is not allowed at all! This is not only a worthless contribution to fan based boards, it also trolls/insults the fans of the subject. Please note: valid and well thought out criticisms are most welcome. It stimulates conversation. Unfortunately, the burden is on you to present your case.
2) About finding/making threads
We have made Board Indexes because unlike in the other boards, it’s okay in the Other Media to resurrect an old thread. It’s to avoid having two different threads about the same thing.
So if you’ve seen a certain movie or listened to a new band and you want to discuss it, you can look up if there’s already a thread about it.
We’ll try to update the indexes as much as possible so it doesn’t hurt to look through the first 2 to 3 pages of the board before making the new thread when it isn’t listed in the index.
3) No versus threads
From Psera’s “no versus threads”:
However, we would like to point out that this does not rule out examining a subject’s adaption of a genre, possibly citing other works as examples. If you have no idea what we just said, then just follow Psera’s basic guidelines, and those below.
4) No linking to illegal downloading
No promoting/linking to illegal downloading. If you must, do it via PM, that's your choice.
These guidelines are subject to change, and can be discussed HERE
thanks,

From Psera’s “no versus threads”:
Thou shall not create VS threads in any of the Other Media boards.
Q: What is a VS thread?
A: A VS thread is basically a thread in which you have two things "versus" each other. Some examples would be "Sasuke vs. Naruto" "Sasuke versus Zuko" "Sasuke VS the whole world"
