Just about every book I was forced to read in school that later became a "member" of Oprah Winfrey's Book Club, I hope die and go to h**l.

Oprah's Book Club...ugh.
There was a book on that list I read before it was ever on the list, though...Ellie Wiesel (not spelled right, I'm too lazy to Google it) wrote a book called 'Night' I think, about his experiences in the Holocaust. Good stuff.
I hate that so many great books don't get attention until Oprah says it's worth reading, though.

Three words. Heart. Of. Darkness. That book is BORING. Even when I sparknoted it... it was still boring. Not only that, but I had to write a 7 page essay on a book that I literally could care less about. I love my refined BSing skills though. I pulled off an A on that paper.

I'm kind of bored with the Count of Monte Cristo. =( I really liked the beginning, but the main character you're introduced to in the beginning of the book disappears as he begins to play all of these other roles in order to gain revenge. I've stopped reading it for now, and started reading another book, with the hopes that I'll be less bored with it when I get back to reading it.

Those Series Of An Unfortuanate Events books or whatever called. My friend, and everybody I know really loves them, and I am like, "Why, they are really boring, and are stupid before they are interesting."

That book woulda been....ok I guess. If we weren't forced to read it during X-mas that is.

One of my least favorite books is "Siddhartha" by Herman Hesse. We had to read it for English ><

Eragon and Eldest are in my okay book list, but I met the writer and he was really nice so I'm a bit partial I suppose. I will not deny that it has a lot of...other stuff taken from other books, however you can't copyright concepts. Look at the Charlie Bone series, rip off of Harry Potter. But Christopher Paolini is a very nice man, I got the opportunity to meet him and I was over like number 600 in line and he took the time to talk to me. ^-^ However in terms of other books, the Eldest trilogy just doesn't hold its own. I think my favorite writers are Scott Westerfeld and Ameila Atwater-Rhodes. I really do like Twilight and New Moon also, I think there's going to be another in that series. The book I can never read, and I've tried three times to complete it is Little Women! I know its supposed to be a classic but I just can't finish it! Anything by Cornelia Funke also, she is just a dreadful horrible author in my opinion. One book I cannot stand and I actually threw it away and burned it. (My friend told me to do it because she bought it and I read it first.) It was Nadia, I can't even remember the author's name. It was about a werewolf in the 1800s and it had explicit sex scenes in it. My friend found this book in the -CHILDREN'S- section. Granted it could have been put it the wrong spot, that I understand, but it actually wasn't big enough or anything to be considered an adults book. The Jungle (crap I think thats what its called...I can't remember) I had to read for class. The beginning was very good but towards the middle it went down hill and it was a struggle to even finish the book.

"Girl with a Pearl Earring" by Tracy Chevalier, I hate it, I never disliked a protagonist so much. I also hate the "Jaws" novel, it's so boring, nothing ever happens, the dang shark practically only appears until the end of the book. I also hate "The Death of Artemio Cruz" by Carlos Fuentes, it's just confusing, never try to read it in two days, it's not healthy, believe me. Oh, never try "Brida" by Paulo Coehlo, man, the guy is so overrated.

Although I love the Warriors series, Sunset was dreadful. The plot didn't progress at all; it felt like everything was moving in slow motion. I mean, what happened? Besides Brambleclaw, the mousebrained Mary-Sue, being an idiot. I felt like clawing his eyes out when he constantly said to Squirrelflight and the others "ZOMAGAH!!1! JUST CAUSE MEH DAD IS EVIL DOESN'T MEAN I'M GONNA BE. ESPECIALLY WHEN HE'S TEACHING ME HOW TO TAKE OVER THE CLAN N' STUFF!11!!!"
>.<
Speaking of Brambleclaw. . . I seriously hope he dies in PoT series. He shouldn't have been made deputy. Wth was Firestar thinking? Or really, what were the Erins thinking? Sandstorm would have been a better choice. She is a senior warrior and has had an apprentice, unlike Brambleclaw. Also, Firestar said in the original series that he would have made her deputy, but she hadn't had an apprentice yet.
But in Sunset, Sorreltail, Sandstorm's apprentice, had been a warrior for moons. (She even had kits, for StarClan's sake!)
And Brackenfur also would have been a good choice. Firestar said he was thinking about choosing him, but he thought "he didn't have what it takes to be a leader" or something along those lines. That's complete bull. Brackenfur has had an apprentice. He is a calm, loyal, and helpful cat. Meanwhile Brambleclaw is bossy and arragont.
And the ending was just. . . blah. . . I was expecting some great battle. I mean it was the last book in The New Prophecy series. But Brambleclaw just killed Hawkfrost. The End.
