Anyone else a fan?
I read Startide Rising (<3!!) and half of The Uplift War before I lost it. Right now I'm in the middle of the trilogy. Just read the first two and I'm waiting for the last one.
The first three (Sundiver, Startide Rising, The Uplift War) you don't have to read in order, but the last three (Brightness Reef, Infinity's Shore and Heaven's Reach) are a trilogy.

YES! I love it! I've been looking for others who liked it for awhile. In fact I made a thread just like this awhile ago, but I can't find it anymore.
I have bought and read all six of them, and also own Contacting Aliens: an Illustrated Guide to David Brin's Uplift Universe. I also hear he's working on a new one, though it may take awhile, in the meantime he has two stories set in the Uplift Universe on his website, one of which is a little preview to the events of the next book.

Oh, I want that! Of course, I imagine all the aliens very differently than they're supposed to be. For some reason I saw the g'keks as fleshy bikes for the first half of Brightness Reef. I've been collecting the books rather slowly- usually second hand.
