I like the books though. That might also be due to the fact I'm not a huge Star Wars or Lord of the Rings fan, so I don't see to many connections. I'll definitely read Treasure when it comes out.

You probalby ticked because they gave Avatar a bad review... Everyone gave Avatar a bad review. But I think Adam like the show. The 3rd books name is Treasure? *snicker*

You probalby ticked because they gave Avatar a bad review... I haven't seen or heard the review they gave Avatar. And they bash EVERY game. I hate Morgan.

they dont bash every game. They tend to rate the games pretty well, but the show is still mediocre and Morgan is annoying.
BACK ON TOPIC!
I read the excerpt from book 3 in the SE of Eldest. His writing hasnt improved at all.

Read the first book. Disliked it. Bought the second book but couldn't bring myself to read more than the first two pages.
And...Treasure? Seriously? Lol @ generic title.
I hold nothing personal against Christopher Paolini (that seems to be the trend with Eragon-haters), but I'm not a fan of the trilogy. D:

Why Treasure for the title? He should've given it another E title. I mean, with Eragon and Eldest, Treasure just looks weird.
Why did you buy the second book if you didn't like the first one?
Paolini's writing is good in my opinion but he uses way too much detail. I didn't know what was going on half the time in Eragon because he would start going off in overly detailed descriptions and the story would start again in like the next chapter.

Why did you buy the second book if you didn't like the first one? Morbid curiosity? But it was just that bad. I agree with the description bit. Most of it seems completely unnecessary and only put there to drag out the book. And I feel bad admitting this, but I was seriously laughing out loud at some of his descriptions of Arya. >_> His writing's not the most terrible thing I've ever seen (after all, I read fanfiction), but it could be much better. It's impressive that he's had the patience to write a trilogy at his age, but the books get far too much credit than they deserve, IMO.

Terrible writing:
Three white horses cantered toward the ambush, their heads held high and proud, their coats rippling in the moonlight like liquid silver.
On the first horse was an elf with pointed ears and elegantly slanted eyebrows. His build was slim but strong, like a rapier. A powerful bow was slung on his back. A sword pressed against his side opposite a quiver of arrows fletched with swan feathers.
The last rider had the same fair face and angled features as the other. He carried a long spear in his right hand and a white dagger at his belt. A helm of extraordinary craftsmanship, wrough with amber and gold, rested on his head.
Between these two rode a raven-haired elven lady, who surveyed her surroundings with poise. Framed by long black locks, her deep eyes shone with driving force. Her clothes were unadorned, yet her beauty was undiminished. At her side was a sword, and on her back a long bow with a quiver. She carried in her lap a pouch that she frequently looked at, as if to reassure herself that it was still there.

Now I'm laughing. And I feel really, really bad.
I don't want to openly make fun of his writing, because some people have to enjoy it for his books to become so popular, but those examples...wooow.
