I cannot believe why Insomniac and Naughty Dog stopped making Crash Bandicoot and Spyro the Dragon games after their great successes. They probably wanted to pursue better games, but why end such a phenomenal series?

In fact, the new people changed around Spyro's look and made his series a button masher. >.<

The only PS1 games I've ever played were the original three Spyros. But I love them dearly and despite having them since we first got our PS2 (it's now dead and replaced with a brand spankin' new PS3) I still play them whenever I get the chance. I've completed the second and third games, but I still can't get the last dragon and gems in the Haunted Towers level of the first game.
And I refuse to touch the new games. I made the mistake of trying A Hero's Tail, and I could not stand it. Everything that was Spyro was gone.

It took me forever to figure out how to get the last dragon in the Haunted Towers.... but I finally did it!!!
You know that circular room with all the metal and wooden doors surrounding it (the room you get into after the supercharges)? You have to find the door that leads outside to a round pool with a bunch of mushrooms hopping around it. When you get out there, to your left should be the area you had to previously go through to get to the supercharges (the one with the castle with a fairy and it had a buttload of knights along the way. It also had a ramp leading to a whirlwind and some stairs).
Okay, if you know the places I'm talking about, go to the top of where the supercharges start, start charging down them and go out the door with the circle pool. Then turn left and jump to get to the land, then go up the ramp and jump again at the very end of it. If you jump at the right time and glide, you should reach a hidden, out-of-reach piece of land!!
When you explore it, you'll get into a room with a bunch of immobile knights. As soon as you get into this room, quickly make your way up the stairs, past the knights. At the very top of the stairs is a wizard and he starts bringing the knights to life as soon as you enter the room. You have to get to the top before all the knights are awakened. Take out the wizard and in the area behind him should be a fairy. This fairy grants you superflame, but it lasts until you leave the level!! You don't have to worry about it running out. Take out the knights, the locked treasure chest you should have seen somewhere nearby, and find the dragon.
Then the level should be complete!!!

Thanks so much! I just finished the game (and might I say, Spyro looked rather dashing in sunglasses ), after who knows how many years of owning it. It wasn't until after I checked out the Haunted Towers level again did I see what I was doing wrong. I had misread the instructions on a walkthrough of that section, and somehow it got into my mind that my goal was to the RIGHT of the yard with the mushrooms and the pool of water, and that I would have to supercharge up and around the round ramp in that area in order to get to it. Which turned out to not be what I was supposed to do at all, and was a waste of both my time and a few dozen lives.

Spyro was great. It was a challenge, yet it was easy enough for little kids to have fun with it. Hands dow, I'd say the original Syphon Filter trilogy was my favorite, followed by the original Rugrats game. It was so cute!

Oh, Spyro's not being released anymore? That fails! D: I loved the Year of the Dragon. It was funny when Tom Kenny was the voice of Spyro, and there again was another "familiar voice-actor moment" when I looked him up in Wikipedia. xD I didn't know he play Rin the Al Bhed in FFX... Final Fantasy VIII was awesome. I bought a new set of it because the first disk of the last set was being dumb. D< It's a great game to practice your voice-acting skills on. The Junctioning system was easy to do, and the GFs were great. (especially Doomtrain, Bahamut, and Eden) Final Fantasy Tactics. When I found that it had a failsome load of mistranslations, it wasn't the game that floated my boat anymore. I wonder why they didn't re-make it for the PS2 along with the PSP? The one game I want re-made badly, though, has to be The Legend of Dragoon. My word, it's awesome. But with the not-so-great voice acting in the few movie-scenes that have them and mix of modern-and-medieval dialogue, it made me kinda feel strange about it. If SCEA would somehow team up with Square Enix to make a better one, it'd probably be good. I would play it to practice VAing, butI can't play LoD right now, because my disks are all messed up. D:

I love Legend of Dragon. I agree that they should do a remake. The voice accting wasn't the best, but it wasn't the worst either.

Skullmonkeys, Oddworld, and Heart of Darkness were all pwn, all delightfully strange. The last one used to freak me out with the horrific little shadow monkey type creatures that would eat you leaving only your twitching leg hanging out their sorta kinda mouth. That crap is freakier than silent hill to me. Great times.

Covert Ops: Nuclear Dawn.
It was basically what Resident Evil Zero was, if it was commandos and terrorists instead of zombies and prisoners.
It was still fun though. I like the idea of combat on a train. Like you have nothing in your power to escape in case something goes wrong. And there is ALWAYS a nuclear device on board a train based game. Some top-secret cargo that makes the main character go "Wha-!?... .My gawd..." and then he has to fight harder because the bomb is heading like somehow directly into the White House.
If you make a game that involves terrorists and commandos on a fast moving train, I'll play the hell out of it.
