I've watched it but just thought it was a bit on the weird side of animes. It was most definitely unique though.

I watched it, and enjoyed it, even though it was really strange (and kinda confusing). I need to watch it when it's not too late, though. I can't remember most of the episodes cuz I kept falling asleep.

Man, this was one of six animes that I was left scratching my head at the conclusion. Half way through the series I got lost, but even still I enjoyed a few episodes. (That and the opening theme is pretty catchy.)

Man, this was one of six animes that I was left scratching my head at the conclusion. Little Slugger was created by Tsukiko years ago in the form of a lie she told her father due to her being realy stressed out and worried. When the series starts she's stressed out again because of her job, and Little Slugger returns. Then Little Slugger feeds off of Japan's paranoia and desire to escape from stress and suffering. Maromi's purpose is also to satsify escapism, however he/she/it opposes Little Slugger and serves as a crutch for Japan against Little Slugger. But thats not really enough, for Little Slugger to be defeated the people must face their problems (like Ikari's sick wife does) rather than rely on Maromi.

I missed a few episodes towards the end which, as I see now, were critical. The eps that stick the most out in my mind are the ones about the Anime Director, the little boy who was really popular until another kid showed up, and the "suicide club" episode.

Jeez, that "suuicide club" episode was so weird! Yet, it's one of my faves. XD

I've seen the first few episodes. I skipped over the third, though. I love the theme song.

I love this series, it was so fun and interesting. It's been a while and I can't remember names....but I loved that detective, the older sort of heavy guy. He was cool.
