I just thought of this little mini game this morning. Just reading up on some of my favorite anime relationships and how the mangaka express the love between the two characters without over using the word a lot. So, I decided to make a thread that everyone can contribute to. Just list the mangaka, the specific anime series if there is one, and how the mangaka express the emotions of love between the two characters. If the mods feel that this should be in the games section, please move it. ^_^
Here are mine:
1)Yu Watase (Fushigi Yuugi): She uses a little term that I made up with my friend called "The Light Switch Effect", where the two lovers constantly flick their relationship on and off. The reason for this effect can be for the greater good: they just don't want to "hurt each other" or make their S.O. "suffer". None the less, it get's a little annoying after awhile. (P.S. - However, they DO use the phrase "I love you" too much)
2)Nobuhiro Watsuki (Rurouni Kenshin): Clinical depression.
3)Rumiko Takahashi (Inuyasha): Childish name calling. I don't think this needs any explanation.
Don't forgot your anime-pattoned calling-out-to-your-fallen/injured-lover syndrome.
Kaoru: "Kenshin!"
Kagome: "Inuyasha!"
Miaka: "Tamahome!"
You can list the same anime series if you wanna. ^_^

Sorry Tomoe. I know that you and Kenshin loved each other and all, but it just wasn't deep enough. After you died, he just vowed to never kill again. When Kenshin thought that Kaoru was dead, he just went into a coma-like state and refused to do ANYTHING. Hell, I bet that if he wasn't so darn depressed, he probably would have commited suicide. Not to mention that little fit that Kaoru had after Kenshin left for Kyoto.
