in 1979 movie goers were scared out of there wits from the blockbuster movie that was out of this world. and reminding everyone with its tag line "In Space No One Can Here You Scream". the film spawned many shapeshifting sequels. and a line of comic books. including many crossovers, including its most populare crossover with the PREDATOR.
A L I E N
directed by Ridley Scott and starring Sigourney Weaver. The film's title references the main antagonist, a highly aggressive, unfamiliar extraterrestrial life-form. Reluctantly following a distress beacon in deep space, a crew member of the space-faring towing vehicle Nostromo encounters a young Alien that attacks and infects him. The creature soon comes aboard the ship, wreaking havoc and threatening the entire crew.
Alien emerged as a central work in the development of the body-horror subgenre. Publicity for the film involved a tagline that became widely known: "In space no one can hear you scream."
the movie spanned 4 sequils, and 2 crossovers with the Predator franchise, one currently out in theatres.
when the movie was brought back to theatres in 2003 the new generation of Alien fans where given the chance to live the fear that there Friends and family have witnessed when they saw the theatrical released. and once again, A L I E N, brought Havoc, Fear, and claustiphobia back to the theatres.
"My Revew"
I first seen A L I E N when I was young. around 5 or 6. when I first seen the Chestburster scene it scared the crap out of me. and I loved it, Did it give me nightmares? YES! but dispite this I yerned for more of the movie, and bought the VHS when I turned 7. every sence I first seen the movie I had acted like the Alien, at school, Store, even at home. and to this day I've watched ALIEN with the same memory, Fear, Respect, and love. it is my hope that ALIEN will be a major part of my life, and will even go as far as show the film to my Children, and hope that the my next generation will feel the same as I do about the film. and hope one day I will either write, direct, or even star in the next Alien film.
over all I give the film 5 out of 5 stars. (getting 5 stars from me is verry hard. but this movie gets it) the movie is also good for your first date. incase your girlfriend, gets "scared" that you have to hold her.
well thats my revew and am stickin to it.
