Oh my goodness. I just saw this movie, and I must say, it was one of the best movies I've ever seen. The music fit perfectly with the visually stunning effects and brutish battles.

Saw it and it' a decent movie and worlds better than the other crap that gets released around this time.
One thing to keep in mind above all else when watching this movie. IT'S A COMIC BOOK ADAPTATION!!!!! That's why theres so many 'fantasy' monsters, the Spartans wear no body armor, why you never see 300 Spartans fight together on screen (the "largest" battle scenes have about 50 Spartans on screen) and the dialog can be rather one-linerish.
Another thing to keep in mind is that the tale is being retold to an army of Spartans before a major battle to lift their spirits (ie there would be embellishments, propaganda-ish).
If you keep those 2 things in mind 300 is a good movie.
I was actually pleasantly surprised how the Queen's storyline worked out. Feels a bit tacked on at first but quickly smooths out and comes to a satisfying end.
Saw it on the IMAX and this might be an occasion when sitting further back or seeing it on a smaller screen might be to your advantage since there is so much going on it the whole environment that you're bound to miss something cool.
The battle scenes were the highlight obviously and left me wanting to see more of them.
All in all it's definitely worth a $8 movie ticket.

300 is one of the best movies I have seen. It was really funny how Xerxes was really tall compared to King Leonidas.

Her part was extremely, stabbingly satisfying by the end of the movie imo. ;D I wish I lived withing a 300 mile radius of an IMAX theater. The movie was still way better than I ever expected.

The imax would have been better had i sat further back. There's so much happening on screen you'll miss out on some of the stuff that's happening on the edges.
There's 2 plot lines really so it's not complex at all. It's basically, what's happening on the front line and what's happening at 'home'. I'll warn you now that a lot of people were 'put off' by the politics in the movie. Personally, don't look too deep into it. Just keep in mind the comic that its adapted from was created in the 90's.
