Discuss.
Add more to this than simply "discuss." Why not express your thoughts or point out worth noting.
Normally I would, but i have allot to say on the matter ant three papers to do... i really shouldnt be on the forum.
but it is a pretty important thing that I think should be discussed...
SO to verry briefly summarize, Bush's basic message was "stay the course" he didnt introduce any new programs. he did not hint at co-operation or compromise with any of his policies. he pressured congress to fund his programs. Nancy (the democratic house speaker) seemed to be reading a book during the address. and as always, the dispassioned standing ovation was verry mechanical that seemed to be turned on and off by a switch...
and now i really do need to get caught up.

He knows his time is nearing to an end, but he has a popsicles chance in hell (wood included) to get anything new across on his foreign policies.
This wasnt a great way to go out. I really didnt want to watch it because the news pretty much called it in the air like 3 hours prior "he's going to say this blah blah blah nothing big" and he delivered.

I didn't like the address at all. All Bush did was say what needed to be done, not how it should be done or who should do it.

and to bush, whenever it isnt specifically said what the president says he should be doing (either by himself or the constitution) that means that he can do whatever feels, whenever and however he personally feels its needed. when in reality it is the opposite, exucitive branch is disallowed from such powers as not allowed in the constitution.
well, Im not really being fair... Bush does things that are specifically forbidden in the constitution as well. no search or seizeure without a warrent, only congress may declare way, the writ of habeas corpus... none of these familar to you bush? Our founders would be sick knowing that we allowed this.
... sorry, kinda went off on a tangent there...
