On Sokkla,
Could we try something? I have this quote stuck in my head these last few days, and I want to use it in a Sokkla fic, but I can't come up with a scenario for it, so can we try and come up with a way it would get said?
The quote is: "Never say die".
I'm positive that's from a movie or something, but I can't remember where ><

Oh okay, I didn't know you were referring to DoBS though; I have a theory too. But anyways...
Kaibasgirl, how would you use it? I've heard the quote before, but I never really understood it. I may be reading into the quote too deeply. I mean is it like, everything dies; and the person returns with that quote? But that wouldn't make sense, since you'd say "don't say everything" before you say, "Never say die."

I think it's meant to be used like, right before you plunge head first into danger. As if to say, "Don't fear that somethings going to happen to me/us, I'm/we're going to come back alive." Sort of like a 'don't imagine the worst-case scenario' type line. On a different note, you guys so totally have to check out this drabble! It's short, sweet, and incredibly hot! (just ignore the A/N at the beginning kthnx) |

Kaibasgirl: I don't know...maybe...the night before they go into battle with Ozai (this is an AU where Sokka and Azula are in the same team now) and Sokka's afraid he may not make it out alive. He's not a bender and he's afraid he may not be able to hold himself against Azula's father, and Azula says that she believes they will live or something like that.

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Even though it's practically over...XD
For some reason I was trying to picture what Sokka and Azula would be grateful for, and here's what I came up with:
Sokka: Let's see...I'm grateful for meat, sarcasm, my boomerang, my brand new baad sword, my awesome looks and...and...and...
Azula: The people who ship us together in their fanfics?
Sokka: Yeah! The shippers! I'm grateful for the Sokkla Shippers!
Azula: And remember everyone, though Yuekka is dead, and Sukka is canon, Tokka's one-sided, and Tykka's undecisive...
Sokka: Sokkla's the only pair where Sokka's on top, so make sure to ship it, or else you'll all rot! =D

I'm definitely thankful for all you other Sokkla shippers as well, people I've grown close to while we've debated and discussed and loved our beloved Sokkla ship.  And kaiba, I agree with MJ, that was.....wow, interesting and hilarious all at the same time. XD And hey Sokklas, guess what? A few mods and I helped restart the lovely Fanfiction contest here and would love it if you'd participate, since I know all of you are fantastic writers. ;] *nudges* It'll be a weekly contest (besides the first one, which will last two weeks so we can get the word around) and you can write about anything say maybe, Sokkla? XD, provided it has to do with the prompt, which yours truly came up with. Looking forward to your entries, everyone. ^_^ Oh and speaking of fanfiction, I've been getting A LOT of Sokkla drabble ideas....and possibly another fic, once I finish "Taking Over Me"...which I still have to write more of, by the way. XD |

Ahhh... I'll probably join one of the next contests. I'm busy writing DAED's chapter four, and over the next few weeks I'll be busy with midterms and major papers. I'm itching to get into prompts and the like, though!
Oh, and that Thanksgiving bit? So cute! ^_^ I can only imagine...

... funny that right after I say that, I show you something I wrote... *shrugs*
anyway, this is a very rough draft of the conversation you guys helped me write. It's just dialouge, lol, I don't even have the actions written..
... ANYWAY, so I don't really like it, but whatev, I actually wrote something right? so basically Sokka kissed Azula, and then she pulls away after a moment and this is how it goes--
Azula: This is too dangerous
Sokka: *pauses for a moment* … I don’t care. I’m willing to risk that because I want you. I want to be with you.
Stop doing what everyone wants- what your father wants. He doesn’t even care about you
Azula: *almost angryly... (is that a...word? >.> )* You don't know my father.
Sokka: I know that he expects you to be perfect. I know that you’re here instead of him fighting his battles for him while he’s safe at home. He’s not here. But I am. I’m here, right now. I do care for you and I want to be with you and hold you and protect you. I don’t expect you to be perfect- I still want to be with you.
Azula: *doesn't really know what to say, won't look at him. Frustrated/confused expression* *finally does look at him* Look, I'm just going to end up hurting you.
Sokka: *pauses, asks with a tone that says he knows the answer already-* ... Is that what you want?
Azula: *quietly* ... No
Sokka: Then stay. *pause* Let me stay with you.
Azula: It's not that easy.
Sokka: No one ever said it was.
then he kisses her again and I am still undecided as to what happens to next...
Le crap... uh... finito... *italian* ^^
