Of all the things I eagerly anticipated with the coming of season three, Katara running her fingers through Aang's hair is the only one that let me down. Such a shame. But... then I tell myself that she probably did it lots while he was in a coma and she was alone tending to him and I feel better. XD

SAME. HERE. Or just ANY mention of how great his hair looked on him. She never really touched it at all I think. Which is odd, considering it's a huge difference. How could she not do something? *smacks Katara* BUT YEAH! We can just tell ourselves that she did it while he was in his coma. XD

@tml: Oh yes, that's such an adorable thought! Trust Katara to find ways to flirt with Aang, hair or no hair. Now she can like, run her fingers over his tattoo as well, that would make another adorable moment.
Shizuma: Such cute art! Aang looks like one happy guy, the only thing I can see missing is him blushing, but that's alright, the rest of the cuteness so makes up for that

See, that's what I like about the picture. He isn't blushing. He just lets her do whatever she wants, and by him not blushing, it gives us the impression that he is used to it. xD That she OFTEN does whatever she wants to him. xD And he is fine with it.

You're omitting half of the older Zutarians who don't post here. That thread isn't actually ver accuarate, considering many Zutarians (especially fanartists) are in their twenties. And just because someone's older doesn't make them more mature.

And I never said that kataangers were more mature or even older then zutarans. Only that "kataangers are more mature/old then the stereotype suggests".

i was trying to show that the stereotype that kataangers were all just a bunch of kids who cant understand to complexity of zutara... was misleading and against the sample data.

And yes, it was a sample. all surveys are samples, the entire population can never be reached. That is what the confidence interval is for. But 15+ pages of data is enough to make a relatively accurate sample imo, and the stereotype that was stated on the very first page of that thread, is wrong.

The age difference between kattaang and zutara is minimal, and assumptions on the age/maturity of a ship is a stupid and risky assumption to make... that is what you should take away from the data.

Practicing waterbending, playing around, flirting, etc. Second season they weren't as much, but we still got a lot of ZOMG THAT WAS SO KATAANG!Moments. And now in Season 3, I feel like they spend less and less time alone together. I'm hoping we will get some episode that focuses just on them and their relationship.

Season 1 - The Fortuneteller. The shippy episode that focused a lot on Aang's crush on Katara and mainly was just for shipping.

Season 2 - Cave of Two Lovers - I feel like this focused more on Katara reciprocating those feelings towards Aang. Feeling him up at the beginning, voting on kissing, blushing later on...

i made a thread for it here
it could use some more discussion/get more votes for accuracy, but males seem to have a logical reason for why they ship kataang. not just "i dont really care, but its cannon so whatever"

You have a good point there.

It's true. There were many Kataang moments in the past.
Maybe the creators are planning something BIG.
Why? You might be asking.
Well, the reason that I am saying this is because dearest Zuko will join the gaang.
The creators [most likely] want to get the shippers all---OMFG!! KATAANG!! or OMFG!! ZUTARA!!!

Hopefully, since spoilers removed, there will be a tense episode where Zuko and Aang are both taking interest in Katara. Both trying to get her attention.

I can just imagine it. . .

As the gaang sat by the burning fire, Zuko and Aang couldn't help but stare in awe at Katara's beauty. Both entranced by her blue eyes as the fire's reflection danced in them.
Then, both try to speak to her. The problem is that both start at the same time and interrupt each other.
A death glare.
And so and so forth xD

I know this might sound too much like a love triangle kind of thing
but I like the idea.

It would be amusing, but I like the idea of Zuko shipping Kataang. He sees how they feel for each other, and wants Aang to say something to her about it. Besides, Zuko has a girl back home.
