I love the idea that Zuko is the most kataang shipper, that would be very ironic after 3 years of shipping these wars xD and quite fun.
In fact I think it would be a catalyst for the chemical reaction of kataang ..
Sorry I have the effect of reading books of biochemistry xD

By the way guys, i made the following post in the "kataang/zutara by age group" thread after crunching some numbers, and it looks like kataangers are much more mature/old then the stereotype suggests: ok, i plugged in the numbers, it took a while but i feel ive got an accurate mean. using the data provided on this thread: the average kataang is 17.96 years old. (pretty close to 18) the average Zutaran is 16.51 years old. for every post that was posted more than a year agao today, I added one year. If you provided a birthdate i was able to calculate your metric age and add it in. ex. if you said you were 17 and born in Feb, i would have calculated 17 10/12 into 17.83. i was really surprised at how old everyone is. we had some pretty old members throw the data into the young adult range. but i didnt discount those outliers, but not too much. In general, it seemed like there was more diversity in the kataang group. both kataangs and zutarans had a range of 11-31, but the data for the kataang group was more spread out along that range, and the zutaran data was more grouped around its median which happened to be exactly 16.5... very close to its mean. (95% confidence interval) whelp, theres the hard data, take it how you will.

Haha, we all know Zuko ships Jetko Kataang!
I would love if Zuko was made to feel really awkward at one point, instead of having to fear for his life from Katara. I would love a scene were Aang and Katara are randomly making out and Zuko in some cruel twist of fate is just standing and doesn't know whether it would be worse to turn and run or stay there cause Katara had told him to do something.
Ah well, it'll never happen, but it's always fun to think how to torture Zuko...

That thread isn't actually ver accuarate, considering many Zutarians (especially fanartists) are in their twenties. And just because someone's older doesn't make them more mature. I would think the Kataangs of all people would know that.

Yeah, that thread's just indicative of Zutarians and Kataangers on this particular site. It's a microcosm, for sure, but probably in the real world there's more variety to both ships.

I agree, you could go and find the oldest living man on the planet and plead with him to ship Kataang and then our age average would sky rocket xD Doesn't really mean anything.

Hello again, sorry for not posting here in a long time. I think that both ships have young fans and older fans. Though, from what it looks like Kataang has more boys than Zutara does.

Probably because (not trying to stereotype here, please don't get offended guys! I know there are a number of you who like the romance!) most boys watch the show for the action rather than for the romance, so they'll just go with whatever pairing they see or whichever one contributes most to the plot, which in this case would be Kataang. On the other hand, most girls (not trying to be sexist here either!) like watching the cute, fluffy moments and such, and enjoy fantasising about cute couples, looking into the romance and stuff hence why there also seems to be more girl fanfic writers and fanartists on both kataang and zutara sides.

Yes, I think you can use those generalized stereotypes to a certain extent for shipping. It's not true in many cases but it is partially true which is good.
