wait a minuite why are we questioning our own ship anyways? i bet zutarians dont question if it can happen or not.rsly lets drop the subject Maybe the fact that the Zutarians do not question their ship is what makes them so delusional in the first place. Ever think about it like that?

Ever think about it like that? *giggles* Delusional... *coughrabidHarry/Hermioneshipperscough* I've even heard the Kuruk comic cited as evidence against Kataang, but information within the same comic contradicts this, as well as the entire Yangchen comic. I could see how they would do this quite easily, the whole 'LOL. LOOK WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE AVATAR TRIES TO GET MARRIED. CREEPY SPIRIT GUY GETS THERE FIRST.' But I think there is more evidece for Kataang in that episode, then against. Really? People use the Kuruk comic for anti-Kataang evidence? The Kuruk comic seems to tell me that the Avatar can love romantically and can marry. It's like what Crystle said; Ummi was just in the wrong place at the wrong time. Besides, Koh wasn't punishing Kuruk because he loved Ummi, he was punishing him for his past mistakes.

Yeah, I see it a bit actually. It (like most, if not all anti-Kataang arguments) doesn't make sense. And HarryxHermione is NOT delusional. At least...not Zutara-level delusional. It's no more delusional than my favored ship CloudxAerith. And Aerith's dead. *see sig*

I think he'll settle down with Tifa, and I'd prefer that. I just don't like people denying that Cloud loved Aerith and vice versa. He still does. I think in Advent Children, Aerith was saying that Cloud needed to stop blaming himself and accept that she's gone. She's willing to wait for him. It in many ways gives me that same feeling as Kataang. Sorry that except for that last sentence, that had nothing to do with Kataang.

Who said I wasn't a CloudxTifa shipper? Nobody, but I knew you're a Cloud/Aeris shipper and I'm a Cloud/Tifa shipper, so... Look, I'm not saying Cloud hated Aeris or Aeris hated Cloud. I just didn't see their interaction as romantic, at least on Cloud's part. Aeris obviously was attracted to Cloud, but I think it was because he reminded her of Zack (it would explain her "I want to meet you" line if Cloud gets Aeris for the Gold Saucer date; she wanted to know the real Cloud, not the Cloud that reminded her of Zack). But let's get back to Kataang, shall we? We were taking about the Spirit World comics, am I right?

And although Aerith saw Zack in Cloud, she recognized that they were different individuals. Read "Maiden that Travels the Planet" It details Aerith's part in the Meteor conflict after her death and sheds a ton of light on her true feelings. And before you ask, it's canon. I love how the only arguments that they can come up with are "they can't cause he's the Avatar" objections. It shows that even haters realize that they like each other. It's that strong.

Maybe i'm being optimistic, but i just think that no matter what happens Aang and Katara are going to be together ( romantically of course)

Actually I have to say scrutinizing our believes is a good thing. Opinions that stand up to scrutiny are valid ones, those that don't...well arent. Kataang stands up to scrutiny, so there isn't a need to worry about scrutinizing it. Also, getting back to a question from last page, Roku's Comic showed him trying to enter the Avatar State by clearing his mind of thought, not earthly attachments. Clearing your mind of thought isn't easy, but it's a far cry from earthly attachments.

Other arguments include, "Katara is a mother figure to Aang; if they got together, it'd be incest!" "Katara has no romantic feelings whatsoever for Aang!" and "Katara wants a tall guy; Aang's shorter than her!" But my favorite argument that I like to disprove is the "Aang is younger than Katara!" one. In romance, does age really matter? My grandparents are four and three quarters to five years apart, and they've been married for a long time. Sure, Aang's 12 and Katara's 14, but give it a few years. Soon, age will just be a number as far as Aang and Katara are concerned.

Notice how all of those arguments deal with Katara's tastes or feelings (motherly or romantic) , which don't matter at this point cause she already shows affection for him.

What about the "Kataang is pedolicious!" "Kataang is Oedipal!" and "Aang's feelings for Katara are shallow!" agruments? Same deal?

I think Yiceman argued that once. The Oedipus Complex only applies to actual biological family (I don't believe it either) and Aang's not that young emotionally, and I doubt they'll be getting it on at 12 and 14.
