Because the obvious usually happens, unless we stage a massive uprising to rally for Zutara, Kataang will likely happen. I mean Jet and Zuko are/were pretty much in the same situation in their relationship with Katara. Jet, of course, gained her sympathy when he was hurt. Katara offered to help Zuko and Iroh, but Zuko turned her away.
The least I'm hoping for is that they'll be friends. Which they'll have to be, if Aang is to learn firebending from a "willing" hand.
