Almighty, you shouldnt argue about how Zuko getting with a girl is OOC when you have a Soko siggie.
I agree with blue chibi. Avatar is about conflict. Where is the conflict in Kataang.
Aang: I like you Katara!
Katara: I like you Aang!
Yah, that takes a genius to write. The writers wouldnt half@$$ it with the cliche style ship that is kataang.

Do we even know whether or not Zuko still cares about catching the Avatar? I think that The Avatar State's ending in which he cut off his ponytail pretty much showed a relinquishing of hope for returning to the Fire Nation and being accepted by his father. When Song mentioned that the Avatar had returned Zuko's eyes didn't grow bright at the comment nor did he ask her or her mother if they had heard anything to his whereabouts. The stealing of the emuhorse seems to be stolen by Zuko out of want. He and his uncle are dirt poor and the emuhorse would aid them in evading Azula much better. I would not be surprised if Zuko steals other things because he is unable to buy them. He and his uncle can't exactly get jobs. They are wanted men and do not have much in the way of job skills. As royals, their training has no doubt been confined to governmental/military administration. No Earth Kingdom city is going to hire Firebenders to serve in their government. Given this, it is no longer meaningful to ask whether or not Katara could forgive him in that situation cause that situation would never occur.

I've noticed you don't say anything to defend Zutara other than Yin and Yang, but you revert to insulting the Kataang storyline. I like Zuko and Song but I know the likelihood that they get together is slim. Its sucking up to reality. Youkai: He still wants to be back with his father. The only way he could is if he captures Aang. We know this because he was willing to go to Azula's boat without question. We know that him going to Azula's boat calls for some desperation because of the fact that he was willing to get slaughtered by the Earth Kingdom rather than go to Azula. When Song mentioned the Avatar, of course Zuko can't say "Where is he? I need to capture the avatar!" It'll throw suspician everywhere.

He doesn't have to say it like that. He could have talked to her about it in a casual manner instead of walking away. And what do you mean by going to Azula's boat? Are you talking about "The Avatar State" because that doesn't mean anything. I think Azula telling him that his father would not want him home unless it was to lock him up had enough bite to it to get Zuko to realize his father doesn't want him back. He didn't talk about catching the Avatar at all in the "Cave of Two Lovers" when previously catching the Avatar was always at the forefront of his thoughts. I don't think we can assume that he still is going to go after the Avatar.

He hates the girl, but he was willing to go to the boat without question. He even defended his father from Iroh. And because he still loves his father, what's the one thing Ozai wants that he couldn't get? The avatar. So of course Zuko would still want to capture Aang. Why would he give up on something so important to him that he was trying to capture for over 2 years all in a couple of episodes?

Because Azula basically just told him what his father thinks. She told him exactly what Zhao had told him but this time she was in a position to know. The cutting off of his hair signifies his loss of hope in going home.

What could possibly make him listen to Azula? We know she's speaking the truth but Zuko lives in a little bubble. The things that are on his mind all the time is dear father and the avatar.

Like I said the avatar was only mentioned when Song brought it up. In the opening scene, Zuko was not plotting as he usually would be about how to catch the Avatar or even trying to guess as to the Avatar's whereabouts.

If I had episodes, I would watch it and take notes. Anyway, why would Zuko mention the avatar? He is fire nation after all and maybe he's just trying to be undercovered. I mean, if he draws suspician, he might get jumped and Iroh may not be treated. (That's how Zuko might see it anyways) ----------- Side note: I just could resist. THE BLUE SPIRIT CHIBI!!!!!!!! ;D

He usually talks in the episodes with his uncle about catching the Avatar. He could have easily talked about it in the woods with Iroh after complaining about living in exile and how he would fix their current situation. He did not do that. Yes, I finally made the Blue Spirit chibi. I think I may try attempt to make a moving version of the Blue Spirit chibi doing his sword routine. I've never used this program I have for doing that sort of thing. I hope that goes well. I may also make a Zuko sprite riding a moving emuhorseasaurus

I may also make a Zuko sprite riding a moving emuhorseasaurus *currently ripping hair out from studying for spanish* I was actually surprised that the word "Avatar" did not sneak into Zuko's rant several times. His father is still Zuko's obsession. Unless he hears that "OZai doesn't love him" from the big guy himself, he's not going to stop trying to capture the Avatar. ----- Blue Spirit Chibi..... gotta love the Blue spirit! So adorable. I've tried doing animation with pixel pals before but they were really simple. Making Zuko ride on the emuhorsy thingy might be kind of tough because you have to make the emuhorsy thingy's legs move. I don't know...

Yeah well see I work from Ragnarok sprite sheets and there is an animal that the swordsman class rides in the game that looks like an emuhorse. It's called a peco peco.
